    Good day,
    i would just like to inquire kung san ako makakahanap ng murang tranny for my galant vr6 a/t. nung mas advisable to change my tranny with surplus or i better buy a repair kit?

    tama ka sir. di sya matagtag sa potholes and lubak (parang Pajero), pero mababa siya compared to other cars so ingat sa mga steep incline and those overly huge humps. ganda rin po handling ng car natin specially sa tight curves. mahina lang sya sa 360 degree turns, malaking kumain ng kalsada.

    current problem ko is yung kabig sa kanan. kala ko wheel alignment lang pero sabi ng Rapide joints and arm assembly (24k), dito naman sa local mechanic sabi rack-end, steering bolt at tyrod (P1,300 w/out parts p un). di ko alam who to trust but I think I'll go with our local mech...mukhang profit oriented ang RAPIDE eh.

    other problems I encountered...yung aircon nag tick (fixed na ang sabi relay..sa CASA), had my timing belt changed (Casa rin, mahirap kasi ito at makina ang pinag-uusapan), water pump assembly -mabilis maubos COOLANT ko sa reservoir after mga 400kms...is this normal?? never pa naman ako nag overheat (anyway CASA rin ito waah). yung central lock sa driver side, lakas ng tunog, pinalitan. yung digital clock, lagi nag re-reset, mukhang loose lang.

    but overall it's still a decent car, with lotsa power on demand! di ko sya pinagsisisihan...kahit na mataas na ang gas prices. maswerte p kayoo guys..manual. matipid-tipid ng konti. 8kms/lr ang sa kin (9 km/lr hiway driving and 6 kms/lr City driving) pero for matipid na ito for it's class.

    i got a 99 VR A/T -Shark look. na feature po ako as letter of the month sa Feb 2008 Issue ng TOP GEAR

    sir san yung coolbox na sinasabi mo? im having problems din kasi sa aircon ng '98 shark ko.... thanks... ill be more than happy kung mattxt mo sakin.. 0916-6413018... maraming salamat sir...

    ano guys, want to have our own galant philippines website? I have a 6G galant and.....I can host the website for free.....domain registration na lang kulang natin...sino bang may kunting alam about website design dito?

    join us at mymitsuph.com. We have many galant owners there from the oldest gen to the latest :D

    For me, the best model that came out locally is the 6Gen GTi. sports and factory-tuned as it rolled out of the casa :D. Handles a lot better than some of the other galant gens Ive driven (no offense meant to the other Galant owners out there) peace :D

    AFAIK, all 7th Gen Galant "rayban" that was released locally from 1993-1997 was already EFI. It came in 2 engines, 2.0L 16V SOHC 4G63 for the SS and 2.0L 24V V6 DOHC for the VR.

    tanong ko lang...was there actualy a V6 variant of of the 7th galant galant with a Manual tranny? Been looking for one eh before....
    Didn't find any so I did swap my 7th gen SS with a 6G GTI ..
    Loved the GTI maski na I'm having problems in maintaing it...hehehehe

    Marami rin lumabas na 7G VR M/T. Ang walang local release na M/T ay tung sa 8G VR (shark).

    Si sleeper, nag engine swap yan to twin turbo and converted his 7G to AWD. Real deal VR4 siya spec wise.

    ooopppsss....I just learned it today....active pa pala old username ko dito....
    I'm using my PC ngayon sa office and autologin so ayun naka login ako sa old username ko...sorry po mods....

    Mga pips, ask ko lang...ilan ba ang Spark Plugs ng Galant? Sa akin kasi yung 8th Gen "Shark" 99 Galant VR with A/T. Di ko alam kung anim eh. Kasi last tune-up ko 3 lang ang pinalit. Sa Manual di naman nakasaad. May nabasa ako sa forums na parang depende sa Cylinders. Sa akin V6 so I assume na anim. Saan kayaa nakatago ang mga iyon? Nyway will ask around din sa forums na sinalihan ko. Thanks.
