The Mirage is officially 5 years in the Philippine market, G4 turned 4.
To those who own a Mirage, have you encountered problems/common issues with the car?

Personally, so far, minor kalampag (expected of small cars in this country), some compressor chatter (seems common, have seen it on other Mirages), a weak fan blower, and a front bumper that comes out of alignment easily if you scrape the bottom of the car on a ramp. (easy to pull back into alignment, hassle lang, looking at other Mirages on the road, seems like we're not the only ones who've had this happen).
Otherwise, still enjoying the economy.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
wow no powertrain issues...

A friend says that madali masira ang aircon. What part kaya?

Powertrain, won't know for a while. So far, the only major thing that's happened is the flywheel-starter issue on first batch CVTs. Since then, haven't heard any complaints.
Lots of us eco-obsessed weirdos in the motoring beat driving Mirages now. Worst steering on any small car I've ever driven. But it's so light and easy to drive, I've long since forgiven that. And this is one manual that you can REALISTICALLY drive every day in traffic. Super light clutch and shifter.

Madali masira AC? Have to check the Mirage forums. Haven't heard yet.
Minor... not really a bushing or shock mount thing... just some noisy stuff up front. Probably a loose undertray or shield.

I've rode 2 mirage Uber and both of them have the ABS light on. 5 months and 9 months yung isa..
^ it shouldn't be a problem since it's under warranty. we had that problem w/ our monty's abs sensor before and the casa fixed it w/o a hitch. but since they're used for public consumption , i don't think their problematic abs will be remedied for free.
btw, will casas know if the cars their servicing are being used for uber and grab services if the owners don't disclose that particular info ? i guess the unusual high mileage relative to its age would be a dead giveaway but that's not always a certainty though
automatic warranty will be void.. just like yung isa 5 months pa lang over 20K na ang odo..
To name a few quirks
Soft rear suspension
Madali mawala sa alignment pag nalubak
Thin sheet metal (dimple magnet)
Kapag maulan, may surface rust sa rotors.
Some say mabilis mawarp ang rotor pero havent personally experience it in 3 years of owning
Hard to find manual gear oil (75w-80). Casa only sells 75w-85 which im using it now.
Weak AC in summer.
For parts, it is now more easier to find one outside the casa as compared few years back.
Technically, basta pasok sa standard 3 years and/or 100,000km, there shouldn't be an issue sa warranty.
Whether or not it's a Grab or Uber car is a different story. This is a legal gray area as the dealer typically won't be able to supply evidence that the car has been used as a pseudo-PUV. It's all up to the owner or driver to be up-front with it.
ok, so I guess nothing serious...
When my dad was in the taxi business, our cars did more than 300kms per day...
20k in 5 months is only around 150kms/day (26 days)
hmmm, I've seen that "soft suspension" comment before...
Regarding the "thin sheet of metal," have noticed (spec sheet) that the car is lighter that its counterparts... Is it really bad?
The sheet is thinner than a vios. You can simply check it by knocking the panels.
I guess its a tradeoff to have good mileage.
The soft suspension can easily be mitigated by a kyb spring swap.
AC filter only lasts 6 months sa akin. Palit agad as washing it only gives me a month bago mag degrade ulit ang lamig.
Also, add mo na rin. Pms cost.
mavoid ba yung warranty (5years) if after 10k PMS. sa iba ko ipachange oil or sa hinde sa CASA Mitsubishi.
Thanks.
our mirage g4 glx mt is turning 4yrs this christmas. nasa casa right now since we complained about hard shifting to reverse. they lubricated daw and ngayon pahirapan naman sa 1st/2nd gears so binalik namin ulit. when they brought transmission down, they've reported that clutch disc is already manipis na raw. i'm surprised na considering the car just had 35k PMS, recommendation na nila palitan yung clutch disc.
how many times did you change the mt fluid in 4years?

Experienced All of those
to add:
Weak Steering (Replaced Steering Column)
Weak Starter Assembly/Gears - Grinding sound (Replaced Starter Twice)
Engine Air Filter Assembly looks very cheap and vibrates/makes noise
I got Engine misfire codes couple of times - replaced spark plugs * 60Tk (100k recommended)
Has weird hard starting issues random times (this is confirmed by several owners also) where you have to press the gas pedal to start.
Replaced AC Components (Condenser and Blower Motor)
Mine has a handbrake cable stretch on one side which made it's operation harder as it already presses to the handbrake assembly
Rattling plastics every where
ABS issues even after ABS Sensor recall (random times ABS Activates unecessarily)
