we have rules here. by joining tsikot, we take it upon ourselves to follow these rules by heart and to the letter because they are essential to our survival. it is thus fitting and proper that we shall and should hold them sacrosanct .

attorney, living with and by the rules is our way of life. we hold our own rules sacred because our existence depends upon them too. we hold judges who enforce our rules in high esteem, and address them "your honors" even if others perceive them as dishonorable.

our moderators are no different. they implement our rules here; thus, it is but right that we should treat them with deference too.

now, you tell a judge in his face: "who are you to censure me?" do you think such actuation will not merit an outright rebuke, or a citation of contempt?

here, you snapped back at a moderator and asked him, "who are you to censure me?" but what did our moderator do? he did not immediately punish you, but he introduced himself to you (so that you would know his authority) and asked you to explain.

i read your explanation. with all due respect, you just rambled on about the beef of numbah5 and frostmourn, BUT you failed to clearly explain why did you tell him: "who are you to censure me?" this is the main issue, and you did not address it squarely. those words, if hurled at our moderators, you must have some good reasons, because they SEEM to be dripping with arrogance. and to make matters worse, not only you did not address it too squarely, but also, in your explanation, you come across as sarcastic. rule number 1 "on behavior" is too plain to be mistaken:

1. You will respect the moderators and administrators of the forums at all times.

however, with all due respect to the mods, unless he had committed similar discourtesy in the past, the penalty imposed on attorney is just too harsh (i dont think asking a judge, "who are you to censure me?" will result in disbarment or banishment). i think under the circumstances suspension is appropriate with a caveat that a similar transgression in the future will be dealt with severely.

lastly, his potential to be a good member in this community should his penalty be reduced to suspension is immense.

it is under this premise that i pray for the reduction of his penalty.

i always wonder why the 2016 montero isn't called pajero sport like in some parts of the world

It was posted somewhere here in Tsikot few months ago, probably reason that it is called a Montero here is that we are classified as a Spanish speaking country or have an influence of Spanish Language. Apparently and I had verifed it in an online dictionary Pajero in Spanish means literally a wanker or a tosser😆

i think mitsubishi phils prefers to differentiate their more expensive pajero line, from the more pedestrian montero line.

I think so too...coz if it is really that Spanish literal meaning then dpat they should not as well have that in the Pajero models. Pero am still amused na suppose to be a Japanese advertisers who as well invented that name for their product ended up with a not so famous literal meaning in a very common language on Earth.

the industry is full of nomenclature faux pas.
my favorite is the chevy "nova"... "does not run".
GM found out, i think, because their car was not selling very well down south.

Its a true "Japanese Pajero" replacement imo. It will be 2016 best suv in the philippines just like the Everest in 2015.

nasubukan ko na, 6.2L/100km ang reading ng fc ng montero. pero dun madaling araw ako bumyahe, walang traffic.

Grabe, sarap talaga mag drive pag holiday, 10.4L/100km down from 15ish for a 30km drive in less an hour. Although di accurate, di naman gaanong important sakin yung fc since alam kong mas matakaw to sa sedan. :P

ang alam ko yung original mitsubishi pajero was called mitsubishi montero in the US and spanish speaking countries because "pajero" in spanish means "one who plays with himself", or in short, a wanker.

discontinued na yata ang pajero? so maybe in other markets this montero sport is being marketed as a replacement for the pajero line.
