EGR body/cooler doesnt accumulate carbon / soot.
if i don't have mine blanked, does the normal PMS include EGR body/cooler cleaning?
if so, i should have it cleaned every when?

Oh thats just the side effect, the real reason to blank it so the EGR body/cooler doesnt accumulate carbon / soot.
Thanks for the informative explanation. Cheers

Pwede kaya ma Disable yung "Auto Retract Mirror" ? kase pag nag OPEN/CLOSE ka ng doors palagi syang gumagalaw. Masyadong unnecessary kung minsan.

I Think meron itong Switch or something to ENABLE/DISABLE eh.. kaso wala sa Manual.

Initial review of my GLS premium coming from a 2010 Tucson 4x4 crdi and a 2006 fortuner d4d. Suspension comfort is really excellent with day and night difference. Cabin is super quiet also with no engine noise. The convenience of the push start/stop button and the door handle button are great features since you don't have to look for your keys. Either nasa pocket or bag ko Lang Yung key. Seats are very comfortable with the plush leather. HID headlights at night is excellent, no need na to open the fog lights. AVT headunit is very user friendly and reliable so far. I can't comment on FC since I only do less than 10k kms a year. Good visibility pa rin when backing up through the back window, I thought the small back window will be a problem. My kids love the 3rd row and comfortable naman daw ang seats[emoji3]
Downside Lang is that there's plenty of turbo lag compared to my crdi Tucson which was very swift and quick. Sunvisors are flimsy and has no weight to it which makes it feel cheap. The tip of my driving foot also would hit the plastic part of the dashboard near the pedals since dash border is quite low.
    That's all for now guys.
Anyone here who switched from 18 to 20 inch mags? Kumusta ang difference sa ride comfort?

nice review ser JJB, with a previous or concurrent owner with a Korean CRDi my thoughts are almost same with yours.
first off the good points :
    * agree with better suspension soaking up road imperfections,
    * quite good NVH control,
    * much appreciated convenience of the smartkey (but we also have this on the SF) so its really nothing new...at least finally its available.

and also agree on the *flimsy sunvisors,

plus additional downsides of my own observation.
    * A/C vents lacking individual airflow control.
    * A/C vents in on the left side of the H.U. adjustment UP/DN & LEFT/RIGHT being totally useless.
if its way up, it dries up my eyes (yeah i'm sensitive to that) and so i have to bring it lower but
my hands get cold air which i also dis-like... Arrrgh.
    * Right side of my Right knee banging on the very obtrusive plastic beside the shifter knob...not very comfy.

also on the same on planning to upgrade rims/tires to 20's. but i guess a one inch reduction in sidewall height
wouldn't be so bad. because there's still going to be 5.2" of sidewall height... heck even some put 22"s in there...
so i guess with little to almost imperceptible effect on ride comfort. hehe. but the that is of course keeping tire pressures same as stock 18"s which require when not fully loaded front : 30psi and back 32psi; then when fully loaded the back can get as high as 34 or 36psi....

Okay will process with the 20s then, parakitojdm.
Agree with the Aircon vents too. Another thing that will hit your fingers would be the paddle shifters which I find very near the steering wheel. But otherwise, the height of the center console and dashboard makes it very comfortable for the driver. It's like everything is accessible and ambience for the driver is very soothing. I feel that the interior finish is very premium albeit the shiny black parts could be scratch-prone, just like in the Tucson.

there's one more thing, that i'd wish Mitsu had done differently...
the location of the Push Start button. sana its for RIGHT Hand/Finger Operation.

kasi ang habit ko ay to immediately Start the engine while entering the vehicle,
but i can't immediately do that kasi i also have to Close the Driver door with my Left hand...
    Ergonomics issue lang.

in this regard i think what Mazda/Hyundai/Kia have done in terms of button placement is better.

Oh headroom is much lower in the Montero compared to the old fortuner, which I really think adds to the good ambience of the interior. Like you're in first class in a plane. I'm not claustrophobic nor too tall though. (I'm 5'8")
