Guys i have a question about Monty's safety features.

Considering that all 2012 models are equipped with immobilizers, is it safe to say that the new montero sport is theft-proof? Is there any known way to steal the montero without getting the keys?

imho sir, immobilizers and security alarms are just for added security para sa owners when they leave their vehicles parked... there is such thing as carjack... as what are now often seen and read sa mga news... just be cautious enough with your surroundings siguro and always be alert...

i think that's the main purpose of the immobilizer sir... without thinking outside the idea of it...

baka may door na hindi na lock pagka lock mo ng pinto. kaya nag aalarm.

nakasarado naman ng maayus sir.. this morning nag-alarm na naman sya.. di po kaya dahil din sa regular maintenance ng montero(1000km).. nagflash na kasi sa screen yung maintenance eh.. di po kaya dahil dun mga sir??

I just got my 2 weeks old GLS V and noticed that my Fuel Range is blank. I filled up the tank FULL and the Fuel Range flashed 50km. Is this normal? Shouldn't the Fuel Range flash more than 50km since i filled the tank in FULL? My initial thought is that this meter should give us the approximate number of km the vehicle can run based on the amount of gas we have? Do i need to have my RV meter checked and replaced as well? TIA!

Yes, I think it is safe naman. Much better if we won't talk about ways on stealing a Montero lol. Mahirap na.

I might visit my dealer this afternoon to have my V logo sticker (i got my unit without it) and have my RV meter checked as well. Thanks much!
