ang tagal pala mag pms sa valle verde. hehe. anyway thanks jns888 and Nugster for the reply :D
sirs matanong lang regarding sa nakuha ninyong tires... yung 4x2 GLS-V na nakuha namin came with Dunlop tires, sa inyo rin ba ganito? yung 2009 4x4 SE kasi namin naka bridgestone then yung iba naman na kumuha earlier this year and late last year naka Yokohama's daw... ano po nakuha nyo tires?
although i like the thread pattern and width 'profile' of the dunlop, mukhang mataba! hehehe
[QUOTE=pingpongdad;1927681]the 4x4 gls-v has the bridgestone ones[/QUOTE
hehe. it should be gls-v 4x2 pala dapati believed they've used the bridgestones prior to 2012 model even on the 4x2 model ?
Question lang mga sir about the alarm of the 2012 glsv. Nag alarm yung montero ng 3 times sunod sunod sa garahe ko. Wala naman impact or nagbukas ng door. sinubukan ko disarm/arm using the remote pero nag alarm ulit ng kusa. Nilagay ko sa valet mode using the red switch under the dashboard tapos inactivate ko ulit using the same switch. Naging ok na ulit, hindi na nag alarm. Ano kaya nagyari? Baka kasi maulit ulit. Thanks.
Question lang po. Required ba maglagay ng turbo timer sa montero na vgt? Tnx.
i asked their technician about it, googled it several times, and it SEEMS, with the usual use of our Montys (max of 5-7 passenger travel, no heavy hauling, no heavy off-roading, no very high revving), a waiting time for "slowing the turbo vanes" before turning off the engine is not needed. a website explains further that the slowing down (lowering revs) we do before we actually park even after ordinary long travel is enough to cool down and slow the vanes of the turbo.
but then again, the last word from the technician "para sigurado, maghintay muna ng 1-2 mins bago patayin ang makina, wala naman mawawala kung maghintay".
so being an anxious owner of a brand new car with a fancy engine (vehicle costs a million and a half), i just decided to heed his advice to wait a min or so before turning the engine off...to be safe.
don't know actual cost of turbo timer installation by casa to avoid voiding warranty, but i guess it may be expensive.
sorry, if this further confuses you. if there is no standard answer from "experts" especially from the dealer itself, they actually don't know if you really need to wait before you turn the engine off. i also did not read anything about this in the manual.
good to read the opinion of others hence the beauty of fora like these!
just my 2 cents, normal driving with little hataw, i think waiting 30sec on the turbo timer is good enough. this is what i do with my turbo civic before. actually, driving slow from your village gate to your house then parking slowly is good enough
pero kung malayong fun run, puwede na 1-2min wait (or more)
first price from casa in mits. MOA 5k for turbo timer( installed) (TT,unit price outside around 2.5k to 3k)
first i ask SA if TT is necessary sabi hindi n daw kasi intercooler,,ngek... kaya nanghingi ako ng advice s may alam s makina (chief engineer) and what you read in the internet that s exactly his ans...
1)1-2 mins bago patayin ang makina, wala naman mawawala kung maghintay". (waiting for 2 to 3 minutes can save you some cash)
2)the slowing down (lowering revs) we do before we actually park even after ordinary long travel is enough to cool down and slow the vanes of the turbo.
(its a way to prolong the life of your turbo)
but if you don't feel waiting after a long trip its nice to have one
