2012 Montero Sport Owners

Hi, my 6 month old monty just got hit today by a car and i just got home from the police station (to file for report for the insurance). The damaged part is the tire fender flares on the back right of the car which i know is plastic Luckily my monty is fully insured, however The bad part here is that the car who hit my monty does not have any insurance. This is my first time to use an insurance, and from what I know i would just need to submit to insurance the police report and they will take care of everything and the insurance will be the one to chase the guy who hit me.

Based on my knowledge, repainting the plastic tire fenders is not good since in time the paint would crack since it is painted over a plastic (this is based on my experience on my old pajero to which repainted the plastic bumpers and in time it cracked ). I am just curious now if insurance would replace the whole tire fender flare or will they just repaint it? I am a bit oc on this things since my car is still new and it would much be better if they would replace the whole tire fender flare instead of repainting it

sir sasagutin lahat ng insurance, yan at huwagg mo ng problemahin yung nakabanga basta may police report ka mga picture ng damage part sa car mo ok nayan. ang problema lang yung participation fee mo baka malaki din sa casa puro palit ng parts walang painting painting. after 4 years ang car ay pinapayagan na ng insurance na sa labas pagagawa at makakamura ka. kung malaki damage sa istimate ng casa malaki din ang participation mo, pero discarte din minsan yan. para makaless kayu sa participation fee.

I would like to address an inquiry to all mitsubishi montero sports gtv owners.
I purchased my montero sports 3 months ago. Last week, I heard a squeeling sound on the steering wheel as I turned it left to right. The sound will only come out after driving 10 minutes or so.

I have read one reply on this thread complaining of the same problem, and that person mentioned that he changed his rack and pinion. This however in his case did not solve the problem. There are no continuing threads to see if he has resolved it.

I am writing to this forum to see if anyone has encountered this same problem and has found the problem and effective solution. Hoping for an experts advice and guidance.

I mentioned the same problem on my monty too, here. I didn't fix anything. Over the course of time, nawala din yung squeaking sound. My odo is nearing 5k km. Unit acquired Apr 2012.

I'm no expert on oils. I don't know if this has significance:

Is it Delo 400? because the Delo range consists of the following:


Delo® 400 Multigrade


Delo® Gold Ultra


Delo® Gold Multigrade


So which of the 3 are you referring to?

Also a user of DELO 400 oil with C4 plus rating combined with unioil diesel (its named Euro diesel IV now in their pumps) and i've noticed smoother acceleration and less smoke even during sudden acceleration. Compared to the mineral oil of CASA, DELO 400, I think, is way better.

For 2012 GTV owners, question lang mga sirs: Have you experienced a knocking sound ("tok") coming from the front of the vehicle when you fully turn the front wheels either to the left or right? I've heard this from my ride a number of times while backing out from parking. Any ideas mga sirs? TIA

*sir glaks, in my case, it happens kahit warmed up na makina. Not sure if its shocks or suspension. Hope fellow monty owners could give an idea.

*sir Zix, the bd28 you are referring in the picure is the oil filter code for 2012 GTV? Been wanting to try it but I can't seem to find any stocks. Thanks

mga sirs... anyone of you experienced error on playing your usb? my LCD screen showed "vo Filter Error --- Unknown error (OXFFFF0004). The song contents of the usb can be viewed but it doesn't play the songs. Pls. help what to do to correct this error. Many thanks...

I have the same oil from casa during my rig's (GLX-v Limited) 1st PMS. Although I was using Shell diesel Nitro since 1st replenishment that time. But, I already switched to Seaoil's Bioexceed diesel about a month ago up to present. I never noticed white smoke on idle or even start-ups. The best part after the fuel transition is the engine became responsive and quieter.
