sa mga naka non VGT po, my mga napansin lang po ako sa monty ko last week, are this normal?

1. Yun led light ko for the alarm is blinking with red and yellow-green (alternate) while on an active mode, is this normal? baka meron naman po sa inyo ng manual for the alarm for the MMAS type of alarm.
2. Nagkakaron ng fog (seems it like effect ng init galing dun sa ilaw and lamig dahil sa cold weather) yun front glass ng headlight. Twice ko po sya na-encounter. Diba dapat po wala eto since sealed naman po yun headlights natin.

1. Ganun din sakin bro. Red-yellowgreen blinking kapag naka engage yung alarm. Naghahanap din ako ng manual para dito. May napansin lng ako na kapag nagautomatic engage yung alarm hindi automatic naglolock yung pinto. You have to manually engage the Alarm sa remote para magautolock din. Ganun din ba sayo?

2. Happened to me once. Hindi nga dapat nagmomoist ang headlights, may mga nabasa rin ako dito na other owners with similar problems. Factory defect yata ito. Observe ko pa muna oung uulit.

Yep its okay lang para sakin i got mine serviced at 1900km odo. Tsk tsk. Bnreak in ko din kasi sa sctex hanggang pangasinan.

Another technician phoned me and asked if i can drop by the casa again to resolve the audio control prob.

Apparently, the audio control unit is working fine. He opened up the head unit and replaced the AV Connector with a new one. He said that the stock AV connector has some issues and they know about it already thats why they have tons of av connectors ready on-hand.

The stock av connectors have loose connective plugs and the wire is thinner than the replacement part.

It didnt take me 30 mins in the casa. It was free (gave a tip lang)

so to those who might encounter what i experienced, check the plug as what sir Zix said, if its not loose, bring your monty to any casa. they will replace the part FOC. No waiting as well.

Problem 1 - SOLVED

btw, i was told that by early next month, we can upgrade the os of our gps

might as well wait til next month para hindi sayang baklas ng HU cover, plastic clips, naku allergic ako sa pagbaklas nyan, lalo na kung sila gagawa na hindi naman sa kanila yung oto, plus FOC.

Common siya sa mga montero sir especially this rainy season.. nawawala naman to in a few hours. happens to me occasionally (2010 montero) siguro pag tumagal na at parang droplets na yung nasa loob, complain it to your casa, some have had it replaced under warranty.

It seems there are a lot of squeaking sounds experienced on our monty lately. To add to this, I got the same annoying sound as well, but on this case, it's coming from the steering wheel. It's a faint squeaking when I turn the wheel left & right which can be overheard when the stereo is on minimal volume. Do you guys experienced this too? Btw, mate zix888, how do we check if the audio remote controls has a battery tray? I mean as our fellow monty owner Exdxb pointed out, which screw is to be removed first? Impressive indeed on a DIY job you did on the audio control led lights. Wish you could share the step by step procedures. Stay safe guys...

same tayo ng karanasan sir nakakabahala baka bigla na lang matanggal ang manibela nd ko pa nadala to sa casa lagi makalimutan lagi kasi lakas ng sound maalaala ko lang pag mahina na ang sound

Magkano inabot nung sa inyo?

Sa Big Bert's meron yan. Yung Crosswind namin dun ko binili ng NWB banana type about more than a year ago, up to now, maganda pa rin ang hagod.

Pudpurin ko lang ng konti yung sa montero ko then palit NWB din ako.

sir set you mp3 player's volume up to a max of 75% lang. baka distorted na din kasi yung signal na nakukuha ng HU.

4. may mga nababasa ako na pag may turbo, dapat wag muna patayin engine from a long drive. is this case, VGT, ganun pa rin po ba?

yes sir, especially if you raced your engine (high RPM). to allow your turbo to cool down. pero kung long drive nga pero few minutes before your destination leisure driving lang or matraffic, pwede na actually patayin agad. enough time na for the turbo to cool down. google turbo timer.

5. naaadjust po ba yung sensitivity nung alarm? para sana pag papark sa medyo delikadong lugar, matapik lang tutunog na

6. medyo mabigat talaga yung steering wheel, mas malambot pa yung manibela nung L300 namin. hehe. bumabalik lang sya pag malaki ang ikot. pag sa maliit na kalsada lang, kailangan alalayan

Anyone here driving a GLS V 4x4 MT? Does the fuel consumption same as with the GLX V? I inquired montero glx v from the mitsubishi seller last week pero faced out na daw so ang offer nila sa akin ay ung GLS V 4x4 MT. Pero worried ako sa fuel consumption baka kasi malakas kahit na may 2 wheel drive sya for city driving. Wala na ba ang talaga ang GLX V na model? Any advise from you guys? Thanks in advance!

Sir according to an SA from Diamond Motors Fairview, phased out na tlaga ang GLX-V since it's a limited edition, unlike the other monty trims kaya nung pumunta kami sa UMC kalookan, wala na rin daw ang GLX-V model. I'm not sure about the GLS-V 4x4 M/T pero i think the GLX-V is much efficient since it's more lighter compared to the 4x4 monty.

no direct personal comparison with other variants but been getting consistently between 9 and 10 kms/liter pure city driving in heavy traffic. the 4x4 m/t has all the gls-v features plus tire pressure monitoring, side mirror signal lights and headlamp washers. just missing the spoiler and rear fog lamp of the gtv. highest hp and torque rating on paper among the variants along with the glx-v but with added super select 4wd. can't go wrong with this choice. best combination of control, power and fuel efficiency. hope this helps.

ako dn mga sir pag hindi maganda yung daan or minsan pag sa sounds palang mejo malakas yung base may squeeking sound ako naririnig sa may pintuan ng passenger side... my monty pala is gtv 2012 june 15 ko lang nakuha... nakaka irita kasi paminsan pero paminsan wala namn.... may naka experience na ba nito?

been hearing intermittent annoying sounds as well, coming from the dashboard behind the tachometer, behind the front passenger seat near the door pillar. just attributed it to the plastics in our vehicles which i think expands and contracts depending on the ambient temp. just as you start to get annoyed it disappears.

been annoyed also by the wipers which tend to squeak after several cycles. partially goes away in heavy rain. partially goes away when i mixed glass cleaner fluid to the washer. planning to replace once patience has ran out.

i try not to mind these and instead, concentrate on savoring the power and joy of driving our Monteros. priceless!

Sir, try stepping on the brakes harder while shifting from N to D at stationary mode. It helps.
Regarding the thud sound, casa says its normal, but I think its not. I have it around 20-30 kph kapag bigla ako nag accelerate at those speeds.

Well, for me yes, since rpm is above idle speed.
I dont know kung yung mga montero with Automatic AC ganito rin. Manual kasi AC ko sir e.
