Sumasama loob ko sa casa.. pinapalitan ung scv ko not carried by warranty kc sa kin daw langis lagi.. 13k plus ung scv.. d pa nila siql, si sir zix pa nag advice na pa siql ko.. mejo asar pa cla kc cnu daw ba nagsabi ng siql na yan.. pagkatapos siql, walng nagbago sa performance.. sabi ulit nila dalhin daw ulit baka egr na naman.. ano un, papapalitan ulit egr? Haha! Kya i decided to clean my intake manifold myself.. di laking tipid.. just my ignorance before..:-[

Sir zix, done cleaning may intake manifold yesterday.. 3days work din since its mY first time magbaklas ng manifold.. my egr blanked and tested na din, ayos na ayos.. lakas na ulit ung hatak.. napangiti talaga ako sa performance nya.. sana lng d umilaw cel for blanking may egr.. test ko ulit knina driving for only 40kph (kasi nagoopen daw yta ung egr valve ng less than 2500rpm), 30kms and idle for more than an hour so far d pa umilaw.. i also adjusted my waste gate actuator kya ang aga magspool ng turbo.. now, napapaisip tuloy ako, bkit pag sa casa laging advise na linisan ang egr kung d rin lang pati intake manifold.. what for kung ung egr pipe lang? D mabuti pa ngang barado na un para parang nablank na din lang egr,,

Sir Lloyd, baka may procedures ka on how clean the intake manifold? D ba kailangan magpalit ng gasket and may recommended torque ba sa paghigpit ng mga tornilyo? Balitaan mo kami kung successful pag blank mo ng egr at hindi nag check engine. Thanks sir!

Sir bengbeng, siql small injection quantity learning. Qoute sg purpose : to keep emission and noise level at adequate levels, the engine ECU must learn injector fuel injection in idle mode.

hi lloyd, appreciate if you can elaborate this part.. kasi, AFAIK, ang turbo wastegate only bleeds excess boost beyond factory settings.. so ibig sabihin ba sa adjustment na ginawa niyo was actually to "delay" the opening of the wategate allowing more boost? and not really, to enable the turbo to spool early as mentioned?

Sir lloyd, ano variant sayo? 3.2 or 2.5? Abandoned the project of wastegate adjustment sa 2.5 ko kasi nabilog ko yung screw. Torx ba naman nakalagay tapos yung nabili kong torx driver hindi maganda. Sa 3.2 may adjustment rod lang kasi. Kaya ipon pa for boost controller and boost guage na lang.

Intercooler mas simple sa manifold. Basta kaya mo kalasin yung bumper. Hehe.

now im getting a sudden interest in reading/learning about boost control stuff.. *ek2jayvee, do you have a rough estimate for the 2.5L manual boost controller + boost gauge? (just weighing in options for perf upgrade -- software (piggy backs) vs. hardware? )

ash, for the 4m41, free power yan kasi they have the wastegate actuator rod adjustment which increases the preload. Sa 4d56, at least for my engine, wala yung adjustment na yun e. Mura lang boost controller around 2.5k. The boost guage well may generic din but may magaganda yung mga Defi. Di ko pa actually alam exact price. Pero the 4d56 non VGT engine has a lot to offer pa. Yun nga lang gagastos ka. Chipping is the best upgrade for me.

..backread and relevant to the scenario of our fellow monty owners, last week I heard this humming sound (2012 Montero GLS-V ) while driving, then monday pina check ko sa Casa, differential problem daw at pinaiwan muna for further investigation and process.. up and until now could not say when maayos, several follow ups made.

had my front and rear axle oil change together with the transfer case. castrol protector series holding up pretty well ( 30k kms ).

it seems the humming/rear axle problems are happenning on the 4x2 variants? anybody experienced the problem on the hybrid Lsd?

the cover of my step boards already having build up of rust. had to repaint to prevent rust from progressing. 3 of my officemates( 2 -'10 models, '11 model)are also rusted.

I have 2011 Monty GLS-V. I noticed na may weird noise ( don't know if its the turbo ) when I release my foot in the acceleration pedal after I step it hard for more acceleration. Its like parang sa exhaust yun. Its not the whistling sound of turbo. TIA
