Got my spare tire lock from Miggyboy yesterday as freebie for my TopUp... Unfortunately, no additional discount on TopUp for me as TSCP member but the lock. According to them the lock sells for 1.2k.
If your buying spare tire lock, make sure you got the one specific for Strada. The one that bolt on the tub/chassis???
35k flat. this is also the list price. i think previous TSCP buyers got it lower. but they insisted na tumaas na daw bigay ng manufacturer.
Finally I met Patriarch and maraming maraming salamat po sa short chat at insights about sa strada. And most of all for the spare tire he sold me. Makakatulog ulit. Eto pagdating ko nang bahay binaba ko muna dahil wala pa akong lock. Halos i-akyat ko sa kwarto para katabi sa pagtulog. hehehe. jke. Anyway hope to meet you guys and learn more about our strada and tips on maintenance.
1. roller lid is known to leak
2. TopUp is sealed all over
3. aesthetic wise, mas maganda ang roller lid (subjective) but I am also solved with my TopUp looks -- color coded rosita red
Some points to share for TopUp
1. no drilling on the tub
2. some cuts on the liner for the bracket and lock (tailgate)
3. installation time of 4-5 hours
4. bring your own double adhesive tape as they will not replace the original one under the liner
5. if you are planning to put some kind of matting or whatever you want to put between the tub and the liner to avoid stripping of paint on the tub kasi yong liner papalo talaga sa tub pag malubak, buy the matting before you go there para makabit nila pagbalik ng liner.
Mga paps 09 strada gls sport yung skin.. Parang hindi na ganun kalamig ang aircon.. Nangyari na ba sa inyo to?
anyone tried changing the stock tires to 265/70/17 dun sa stock rims ng GLSV? Gusto ko yun design ng stock rims kaso masyado maliit yun stock na goma kasama ng gulong.
thanks for the advice! magkano and where can I get one? I went back and read a few pages sa thread and people say that cooper tires are bang for the buck tires. Tumingin ako kanina ng pirelli scorpion's 265/70/17 and huwaw 12.2k ang isa. Kaya I'm hoping that the cooper tires are much cheaper. Another option is getting the stock montero wheelset which is cheaper than changing the tires.
off topic rin... mag iimprove kaya ride quality kung palitan ko ng old man emu yun likod ko or sabay ko na lahat? problema kasi wala akong budget isabay lahat.
hi sir!
regarding the tires....the size 17 tires are significantly higher in price but still the brand still dictates the price....if you saw my post in the mods thread the prices I mentioned there is for Cooper Mud terrains which is the STT's....now for the 17" AT tires of cooper I think its priced a around 7k its a 265/70/R16 you can buy it at Ryco makati which is definitely cheaper than the pirelli's...![]()
and with regards in replacing the mags, I suggest you just stick with your stock mags and get the tires....but if budget permits replace the also with an aftermarket one thast the best way to go...
with regards to your question regarding the OME's I supposed your talking about shocks right?
if yes, then its ok if you only replace the rear shocks even though the front is still stock....but the ride comfort will be really enhanced if all four are replaced...![]()
