Greetings. I'm just dropping by this thread to ask for your suggestions. We'll be getting a new set of tires for our '07 GLS Sport and I'd like to try another brand other than the Bridgestone H/Ts.

Any good, excellent performing brands equivalent with the stock size? Or will it be better kung taasan ng isang notch yung tire size? Bibigat ba to I assume? Lastly, baka pwede narin post yung budget for a set. TY in advance.

Hello sir, I'm currently in the market scouting for a new set of tires rin. I'm looking at 265 size instead of the stock na 245. There are a lot of brands out there but I would suggest narrowing it down to type of tires first ( h/t or a/t or m/t ) for highway/city driving or mild off roading or off road respectively. From there you can narrow it down to the size, personally I would suggest 265 size instead of the stock na 245. Yes mas mabigat ng konti Po ito compared to stock but it shouldn't affect performance that much. Budget for tires can be from around 6 k up pero if you go for branded tires Medyo dapat around 8-10 k each ang budget mo po. Aside from bridgestone, I like Yokohama, michelin, Pirelli, Mickey thompson. Some of my friends also suggested federal and nankang Kung medyo budget conscious. Kung may budget naman po then Nitto tires but i find it a bit too pricey na po. Good luck in finding the right tire Sir.

Baka next week kasi makuha na ni daddy yung 2012 strada glx m/t ask ko lang po kung ano pinag kaiba nya sa 2011 model?
Saka gusto ni daddy magpalagay ng fender flares ang tanong ko kung bibili kami ng fender flares sa labas ng casa obligado paba kami magpalit ng mud guards? Pero sabi ko kay daddy bago magpalit ng fender flares magpalit muna kami ng mags at tires para di masagwa tignan meron naman kako nabibili sa mga bilihan ng gulong na nag swap ng mags & tires..

As far as I know Po wala po pinagkaiba yung dalawa(I may be stand corrected). Also have a GLX and had fender flares added, nope do kailangan magpalit ng mud guards. Yes, mukhang alanganin po talaga tingnan. If you have the budget sabay niyo na po palitan, Kung wala naman then tiis po muna tulad ko. Then pag meron na tsaka palitan. Congratulations po sa bagong Strada niyo!!! Huwag niyo po kalimutan sumali sa club.

Kasi yung 2012 glx yata parang may ABS + EBD na pero ewan ko lang sabi lang ng sales exec pero wala ako ma research sa net na may abs+ebd nga sya.. Thanks sa pag hikayat sumali sa club kaso busy sa work bahay at work lang lagi walang hilig gumala.. sa totoo lang hilux talaga gusto ni daddy kaso di kami mabigyan kasi kulang sa supply ng unit isa pa inuuna pa nila yung financing at sa kanila insurance kaya sa strada kami napunta.. Sana OK na mga issue sa DID ng mits medyo madami din ako nababasa dito about SCV, ratling sound sa steering at iba pa.. Pero sa feature panalo strada compare sa Hilux E..

Salamat sa reply sir.. Tama naalala ko ipinakita pa sakin ng sales exec na dina naka hiwalay yung alarm sa key kaya mas ok siya..
Siguro yun din tignan ko pag kinuha na yung unit para 2012 nga talaga hehe.. Inip nako sa glx namin sana Monday makuha na namin.. Meron po ba tayo 7 days allow na mag byahe pag bagong bili kasi may batas po tayo na NO PLATE NO TRAVEL policy.. Saka parang 1 lang busina ng strada kaya baka ako na gumastos para papalitan ng 2pcs hella supertones horns..

Sir same engine parin po yung GLX-V nabago lang yung turbo charger naka VGT siya pero ang transmission matic lang ang available sa GLX-V.

month old owner of a strada glx-v.. kttpos lang ng 1k pms, mas gumanda pa hatak.. un nga lang engine oil drain plug pati ung rear diff gear oil ko eh nag-leak, upon checking kulang lang sa hapit..di pa ata nkapag-almusal mga crew na gumawa.. hehe! natanong ko din dun ung uneven stance nya sa rear, sinukat nmin, and I must say npaka-hi tech nung method na ginamit.. metro.. 10mm diff sa rear left vs ryt.. tpos 3mm sa harap, xmpre mas mbaba daw ung left sja kc andun ung lhat ng load, at ito pa ang cnabi, kc daw ung mga sa japan manufactured e designed sa slope ng kalsada sa japan..di ko alam kung maniniwala ako o hndi dun sa mekaniko. from the start alam ko nmn na di tlga xa even, gusto ko lang mlaman kung pasok xa sa limit/tolerance.

I got my 2012 strada glx last jan 12 and so far im happy wiith it. I bought a spare tire lock because i read somewhere in this thread that the spare tire can be easily stolen. I also installed TopUp lid cover at miggyboy's so that i can maximize the use of my cargo bed.

Yesterday, i took the pickup to mabini, batangas via nlex and star tollways and it performed admirably. I was pleasantly surprised with the fuel consumption: 11.66 kms per liter at varying speeds (max 140kms/hr). Parehas lang sa mits adventure although the strada has twice as much horsepower under its hood. I hope mag improve pa ang FC after the break in period.

I'm thinking of replacing the mags and tires similar to those installed in the gls models. Or papalitan ko na lang kaya ng bigger tires using the stock 16 rims?

Maganda yung unit na nakuha ko at walang problema so far. Hope it stays that way.

35K and top-up lid sa MB all-in. I understand this is way cheaper than carry boy.

I computed the fuel consumption as follows: first i filled-up the tank full and then set the trip-meter to zero; after the trip. nag pa full tank ulit ako - 27.71 liters ang nakarga tapos 316.1kms and reading sa trip meter. I divided the kms travelled by the liters of diesel consumed and i arrived at 11.66 kms/liter. Di ko linya ang math but i hope i got the formula right. Yes lets enjoy our ride!
