    Assuming Speedlab is not full to overflowing with work:

    headers = 2 hours
    unichip = 1 hour
    dyno tuning = 1 to 2 hours

    I would suggest to come in the first hour of Speedlab's openning for the day. Also call ahead to make sure all the stuff you would want to have installed are available on the day you are going.

    Weird torque curve. Is that due to the CVT, I wonder?

    The Dynapack can also do point loading tests, like their previous Dastek... I wonder if that would smooth out the graph.

    Sad, was hoping for more power, considering how healthy the Lancer engine is and how the power difference is supposedly "only" about 4 hp. From the graph, it seems like it's closer to 10-15 at the upper end!

    The dip after the cam changeover suggests to me that the Lancer might have more aggressive "high" cams than the ASX. That might be a way to go to uncork it a little bit, if you can find some sucker changing out the cams on his stock EVO... errh... Lancer engine...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    By the way, found a dynochart for the Dynapack for the stock Lancer 2.0 MT.

    http://www.rpw.com.au/shop/index.php...=298&Itemid=40

    Compared to this:

    The power is apparently just right for the ASX. Minus about 5 whp versus Lancer, minus about 5-10 for CVT. Plus 5-10 for headedrs and intake. Plus 5 for Unichip. Same power!

    Interesting that there are dips in the torque curve of the ASX.. but after retuning, the torque curve looks almost exactly like the Lancer's!

    hello guys,
    m contemplating on buying an ASX. Anyway, nabasa ko yung unichip discussion. Suggest ko lang do all other performance mods first, unichip last to maximize performance and dynotuning cost.

    First, No TXT Speak on tsikot.com forums.

    Second, yes you can drive the ASX without using the paddle shifters.

    The paddle shifters is only an option if you want to manually shift to a lower or higher gear. Example, if you want to quickly overtake a slow car, you can just floor the gas pedal but the tranny takes a bit of time to catch up, so you flick the left paddle to quickly get one gear lower and sling-shot your way in front of the slow car. The same goes if you are driving on the highway. You might want to get the highest gear for better fuel economy so you flick the right gear until you get 6th gear.

    If you don't want to use the paddle shifters, just leave the gear selector in "D" and let the car sort it out for you.

    You don't need to use them.

    thank you po mga sir for the enlightenment. i have a follow up question po..if say I use the paddle shifter and flick it to higher gear, will it automatically go back to lower gear without flicking it back?.

    It will keep to that gear because it is in manual mode.

    If your engine is starting to rev too low or too high, then it would automatically shift to the next appropriate gear.

    To go back to full automatic, pull on the right side paddle for five seconds (or until the dash display shows "D").

    IF driven properly, there should not be a difference in fuel economy if you are driving automatic mode or manu-matic mode. In practice, it's better to leave it in automatic mode and just run the engine at the lowest RPM to maintain your speed. Or switch the digital gauges to fuel economy display and try to get the best FC.

    You guys think that it's normal to envy other cars? I have an ASX but I feel like I'd trade it for a Cruze 2.0 diesel. I want a better interior and a more powerful engine. I guess some mods could do that for me? I couldn't quite figure out the graphs in the previous posts. How much HP did you gain? I know you spent a lot of money but, do you think it was worth it? I kinda want to do the same to mine.
