So, no built-in tv tuner in the stock 2DIN HU. Anyone bought the accessory TV tuner so we would have an idea how much it might be?




So the reverse trigger wire (of the HU) is not yet wired in.


Third Question: if you play a video (via DVD, USB, etc), would the HU self-disable the video display when the car is moving? I haven't tried it yet but in some factory A/V HUs, it does this by default as a safety precaution.

HU will not disable the video display while the car is moving. You can watch and drive... if you can.

You want to change the chrome? I suggest leaving it as it is.

Nwy, you can just remove your SD card from your unit and download the update from inav.ph. Just run the update and you'll have the GPS updated in no time.

Im not sure if the reverse trigger wire was wired or not..i think casa can answere you about that bro...

About your 3rd question: it wont disable your display bro, kaya ang ginagawa ko pag ako lang nagbabyahe, I download music videos para listen when im driving, watch when im stuck in traffic...

Painting over it might not last since the surface is smooth, the paint might just peel off.

You might prefer to use black vinyl sticker to be used to cover it (same material used by foil-a-car or atoy). Done well, it should look smooth with no bubbles.

But if you do give the chrome a black color, your ASX will loose it's unique look and might end up mistaken for something like a 2010/2011 Hyundai Tucson.
