Hello po mga sir!

Kakatapos ko lang po mag ojt sa prod'n eng'g sa mitsu, and according to one of the managers there is a huge possibility of assembling the lancer here. Actually 2 models ang nasa plans, pero ayaw sabihin sa akin, pero obvious naman yata... haha. These are the products they have long been waiting for to give a major boost to the cainta plant.

As for the cainta plant being outdated, hindi po naman yata, underutilized maybe, imho there is nothing different between assembling an adventure and the new lancer as long as the necessary tooling is used, because assembly operations lang naman. as to what i have seen, the plant is 100% capable of churning out these babies.


OT. sir ian taga mitsu po ba kau? haha just curious. kudos to mmpc, i learned a lot!

no po. im not associated with MMPC. i wish i was. but i have acquaintances. whatever i have mentioned on this thread is what i have researched on and confirmed with them. talagang mitsu fanatic lang po ako...

yes, i agree with jazon- di ko talaga maintindihan! on why the auto-up/down cant be made available! it was a question that was not directly answered by them. IF the Lancer EX will be locally assembled, then i think the plant has the freedom to configure as they please!

but based on my observations on what can be assembled at Plant 1- I think i know what those 2 models are... there was at one time when the Outlander was supposed to be assembled here based on a news asian news report, but it seems to be the (toot ) and the (toot ) is feasible due to the demand. to create a new assembly line requires retooling and reinvestment- something that the plant has been trying to work on for a long long time now!

OT lang... sa mitsubishi showroom ang playground ni ian while he was growing up... during our respective childhood days, while the rest of us were playing with model cars, ian is tinkering with the actual units! tama ba bro?

Exactly! sana matapos ang study nila before thailand gets the nod to produce the ex, hopefully as you mentioned, baka maging export base pa tayo ng lancer! I'd be happy to see the lancer prod'n line get revived hehe

of course, who will be happy to bring it back here considering that the plant used to assemble the Lancer since it started with the L-type in 1976 ([SIZE=1]i wasn't born yet at that time ha! hehehe[/SIZE]!). yep, we are all looking forward to this as this would mean profit and productivity for everyone!

i have a very strong feeling that thailand is NOT going to get the assembly- the plant there is the Global provider for the Strada! tapos lilitaw na ang Montero Sport soon!

IMO, its MMPC time to shine naman!

Talaga bang walang auto up and auto down lang ang meron sa Lancer na pinatest drive nung launching dyan? I thought ganun din anc GTS ko pero I immediately check it up and meron naman auto up and auto down sa driver side lang na window. As for the central lock I dont know why wala ang model na pinakita dyan but as for mine here ay meron both driver and front passenger side.

yes, it may come from the same plant in japan. Basta the specs for a US bound Lancer is different from one that is bound here- at least sa driver's side sana for the convenience diba?

does your Lancer's driver side power window also come with Anti-trap also?

I dont know if you can call it Anti Trap. But it has a safety feature that automatically lowers the window down a little in cases of anything gets trapped or caught by it.

san kaya and dealer na may test drive? I was at Diamond Motors dito sa may C5 pero wala daw sila test drive unit. Syempre gusto ko muna ma test bago bilhin

mga sir, kakagaling ko lang kanina sa mitsu alabang. went inside the lancer gta. may central locking sya at yung one push down sa driver side. yung paakyat ang kailangan diinan all the way up. may display sila silver pero yung red sa loob ang sinilip namin. i have yet to see the white color sa personal. mukhang marami tumitingin, na low bat yung display nila. kaka try siguro ng stereo and some electricals, nadiskarga..

i cant help but still feel na mapupunta sa thailand ang production ng new lancer. Well eitherway basta reliable pa rin pagkagawa ng new lancer same quality as the made in japan one ok na sa akin. May aftershock pa rin kasi sakin yung poor reliability ng lancer during the 90s lalo na yung "pajero" incident

According to my GTS manual the vehicle is designed to operate on unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane number of 87 MON or 90 RON. Regular na ginagamit ko ay 93 and I tried once yung 95 and it seems that there is no significant difference sa performance. Kaya syempre para makatipid e sa 93 na lang.

Medyo weird nga po sir, nung last day ko sa planta puro facelifted glx/gls un nakita ko na dinedeliver from the transporter trucks, sa cbu inspection line naman for every GTS/GTS-A ay 1 MX and 2 gls/glx, oh well.... siguro nasa warehouse nakatago, ayaw nila paarawan sa yard hehe Di ko tuloy na achieve un goal ko na makapag picture sa tabi ng hundreds of new lancers hehe

Hi guys, Meron na ba naka bili na ng actual Lancer EX here in the Philippines? I've been in the hunt to buy a GTA, and so far walang units kahit saan. Pa iba iba pa ang sinasabi nila. Una, the Monday after yung launch at MOA, pwede na daw bumili.. pero walang units na dumating, display unit lang. Secondly, June 1 or 2 daw dadating ang mga units according to another SA in a different dealer. Yesterday (June2), tumawag ang maraming dealer sa akin so kala ko meron na. Sadly, puro display unit lang din. The latest information that I got (today) says that... Yung shipment ng units that are actually for selling (hindi display unit) are still being inspected/processed sa may pier (or still in transit, not sure). estimated arrival is 2nd to 3rd week of June. Can anyone verify this?
