    Baka sa model din dok.
Na-chempo lang na madali nasira 2 Carrier namin with the electronic control with remote. Sabi nga ng AC shop na dinalhan namin na madali masira ang electronics ng Carrier in their experience. Tatagal for sure daw ang manual.
We also had an LG manual window that lasted 14 years.

Non-inverter boss, I wanted to buy the inverter pero maliit yung butas at steel cage, so I bought this type na sakto ang sukat para plug and play na lang.

I bought Condura, but it is an exact copy of the old Carrier except for the brand name. Once I get a bad experience with a brand, hindi na ako umuulit, these brands have the same manufacturer , but maybe, mas alaga ang house brand

I'll try the Panasonic, when I need the inverters later.

Inverter ACs (any brand) have larger housings based on my observation.

Main reason manual lagi hanap ko. Bullet proof yang manual controls. Sira na aircon mo, ayos pa din manual controls niyan.

don't tape over a heat sink.
I've read that Panasonic and Mitsubishi inverter A/C have their circuit boards coated with silicone to avoid high voltage short circuits caused by lizards and insects. We should have this in mind when buying an inverter A/C.

they can claim anything, as there is no way buyer can verify until after they've bought it, and under threat of voiding the warranty at that.
in my experience, many of these sales people do not know what's beneath the paint of the items they are selling.

    Here you go:

"Panasonic claim to have vermin proofed their circuit boards with silicone and said they have few PCB's fried by vermin nowadays"

Link: Split inverter sizing and geckos - Air con - Home

"Manufacturers are aware of these circuit board problems. We have read that Panasonic and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries are silicone coating their exterior circuit boards. Maybe this will help. Time will tell."

Link: Inverter Air Conditioners – we give up on inverters and on Samsung | My Philippine Life

"MHI have a silicone coating on their pcbs, which sees them hold up to the coastal climates alot better"

Link: Mitsubishi heavy industries srk71zk - MITSUBISHI AIR CONDITIONERS Consumer Review - MouthShut.com

"DESIGNED FOR AUSTRALIA: No matter how scorching hot it gets outside, the CSCUS9PKR will keep you comfortable, as it the cooling operation is designed to cope with outdoor temperatures of up to 46°C. While the air conditioner keeps you cool inside, you can also relax in the knowledge that the outdoor units are protected from the elements. A special antirust coating triples the life of the condenser by protecting it from the from the damaging effects of salty air, wind and dust, and a silicone coated PCB (Printed Circuit Board) protects the unit from being damaged by environmental factors such as such as moisture and dust."

    ---

I guess from all the brands, only Panasonic and Mitsubishi have silicone protection on their PCBs according to what I've read.

    Re: sales people

What really irks me is when I asked for a particular item, they will quickly say they don't have those. But, when I looked around, I found it. Count to 10.

But, in fairness, most are ok. I even ask them to compute for the wattage or the kWh. They know the formula and they know their product. It's totally fine with me if they ask their other colleague if they don't know. I see them as a team. It's only those who quickly give you a "no" answer without even trying.
