When i was engaged they did not spring for the wedding nor give me anything for my first home. I put up an internet cafe, started buying and selling cars, became a real estate broker AND worked as a project hire in an IT company. The NEED drove me to extend myself. The rest is history.

I am so happy i learned these lessons early. Am okay now and i knew that while they could easily give me the things i wanted, they knew i needed to earn them for myself.

I have zero regrets and am glad i learned how to count on myself. Teaching the same thing to my kids somehow. Hehe.

And yeah now that theyre older and seeing all their children stable already, they are really pouring it on now as in turbo mode. So its even sweeter.

100% agree with you bro ... dami diyan may asawa't anak na, sustentado (with allowance) pa from their rich dad/mom ... feeling nila entitled pa din sila sa allowance at responsibilidad ng parents nila ... na palamunin pa rin sila at ang mga anak nila ...

lahat gastos ni papa at mama ... gas, car maintenance, car insurance, house utility bills (kahit bukod na sila ha...), household helpers, real estate taxes, lahat as in lahat ... wala sila kailangan ilabas .... pati tuition ng mga anak nila ni singkong dokling wala sila ginagastos ... what a world.

Ako nagbebenta na ng car ngaun, i just sold two cars. One crv and one getz diesel , pagbalik ko, im gonna sell our motorcycle an my dads golf car and his van .I might also sell the explorer this year pag nagkarun ako ng opportunity na makautang for a new Nissan Terra

I plan to do things that people in our generation wouldnt do, ive already trained in arnis and nunchaku, plano ko naman mag-train ng katana. Why? Coz you get more value on yourself when you do things others cant or fear. Im also getting a DJI drone, i will train myself in video blogging peromy videos willnot be shot in eye level na katulad ng lahat ng may smartphone, ang gusto ko pag vinideo ko kayo, kita na numinipis na buhok nyo, at kita na mataba talaga kayo sa ibang angles, hindi yun papakita lang may muscle.

Dapat truthful sa future, dapat do the things that others cant.

Pagdating sa mga anak namin, we'll stay on the safe side na lang than to be sorry.
But I suppose you were accompanied when you commute?

My parents have no idea how much I earn. Nung fresh grad ako, I was earning double the average salary in our industry but I told my Mom I was getting minimum wage. LOL! Kaya yung gas, car expenses at credit card ko, sagot niya, never naman ako sinabihan na ako na magbayad. 5 years ago I decided to shoulder my gas and CC expense na

That is one thing I DO NOT want to happen to me May iba kasi matino pag BF GF pero few years after marriage biglang magre resign or lalabas katamaran.

Anyway, okay lang naman if the grandparents want to help, usually kasi sila yung maraming pera. hehehe.

But I do feel for my Lola, and I think it is so wrong (kaya galit ako sa pinsan ko) na 91 na siya pero may pinapa aral pa na APO SA TUHOD (daughter of her granddaughter)

It is counter-intuitive that when you become a minimalist, you will feel that you have more.

I'm into "zero-waste" now. I have a lot of things in my bag.
Downside is there is a lot of washing to do (which is also bad for the environment)

College BF ko nag Arnis ng 90s sa DLSU. Hindi pa uso Arnis back then so it was new to me when I asked him bakit gumaganda katawan niya LOL. Ganda ng shoulders at arms. Dati kasi payatot yun, so it was really a transformation. But he is over 6 foot tall, kaya mas lalong maganda tignan. I loved him the most among all my BFs
