very unusual weather pattern for sendong. typhoons don't touchdown and wreak havoc on those places in mindanao (maybe except for the surigao provinces).

i heard drinking water is already very scarce in cdo and in iligan. some isolated places are really in dire straits as a result of wrecked infrastructures. i hope assistance from those concerned agencies won't be delayed by red tape

napag usapan na rin lang ung tubig, may use ba if somebody donated one of those home water purification systems(like those sold at Ace Hardware) ? They can just install it on any pipe supplied by any water source right? some units even have the UV feature, but i hear electricity is still a problem there.

Ung impression ko kasi, it may not be able to handle the volume needed...and you'd probably be replacing the filter every day or so due to the water quality/volume.

i heard somebody send a water purification system over to the affected areas..i seriously doubt if this is one of those mobile systems the US used in Iraq, but i'm curious as to what they sent/set up there.

sorry kung medyo OT na, but does anyone know what donations they still need there? would crank-powered flashlights be of any use at this stage?

Pasukan na next week for public schools. It might be a wet one...

A formation of a Tropical Cyclone along the Philippine Sea, East of Visayas is possible within tbe next 12 to 24 hours.

A strong & broad Low Pressure Area (95W/1006 MB) has been forming over the Philippine Sea and is likely to develop into a Tropical Depression within the next 12 to 24 hours. The center was located about 518 km ESE of Borongan City or 703 km ESE of Sorsogon City (10.9N 130.1E)...max winds of 30 kph...currently moving NW * 15 kph towards Northeastern Luzon (Isabela-Cagayan Area).

Raining VERY hard here. It's as dark as if it was already 6pm.

Electricity was cut for two times already.
