Dito man or doon, matinik sa chicks yun. His family educated him and could provide for him wherever they were. I had friends who did well abroad and i had those who had to go back and rebuild here in Manila as they got hit by bad times abroad.

If you're happy with your life here, then just work to provide for your kids with their education and more importantly, guidance as they grow. Whether they grow up here or there, it's really the job of the family to make sure they get the tools they need to survive in this world and are able to pass it on their children as well later on. Yes our government, our politicians and their wannabee children suck but heck, we still find ways to work around it right?

The US have 4 seasons. Winter is one of them. Not all winters have snow and not all States experience snow on a regular basis (see Hawaii and Florida where there are a large concentration of pinoys).

May political dynasty pa. Si gma naman binenta Pinas sa China. Bihira pa sa puting uwak ang nationalistic politician sa atin, majority sa kanila ay nasa politics for very selfish and self serving reasons.

This is another thing to consider.

thank you guys for your honest opinions... actually gumaganda ang pakiramdam pag nakakarinig ng "better stay here".. it's just that nagkaroon kasi ng chance na magkaroon ng green card kaya i'm seriously weighing the better options for the kids.. kung matino lang sana gobyerno natin I can easily give up that green card.... tama kayo the best gift that we can ever give to our children is education... plano sana namin grade school and high school ay duon muna sa states then balik na sa pinas pag college na.. mukhang mas ok mag stay na lang dito siguro.... 70K is just enough for us and my wife's income is our savings.. gumugulo kasi isip ko pag nagbibida na ang mga former colleagues na nag migrate.. just don't know how accurate their stories..

    +1

6 months to 1 year before 2016 election apply apply ka na ng job sa US from here. Since green card holder ka I don't think hiring you from here wouldn't be a problem as long as you have the skills they need.

No use staying in a sinking ship, especially if it's the captain (president Binay) itself who is hell bent in running it to the ground.

i have already experience that.. two days lang ako nag stay and after office hour lang kami nakakalabas. no one volunteers to drive me to airport.. so nag taxi na lang. kaya nga naisip ko mahirap talaga mag umpisa duon..

Mahirap maghanap. Minsan titingnan nila ang relevant US-experience. Otherwise you may end up under-employed.
    2. Boring/exciting depends on your perspective and your location. If you crave for city life and move to some small town in Idaho, you will get bored. Pero kung outdoor person ka, you might enjoy Idaho. Otherwise, stay in the big cities on the coast.
    3. Find a support group - family, friends, church, what have you. You will be surprised at the generosity of these people (yun lang kung mapili ka sa gamit, wag na.
    4. Mag-ingat din sa mga inggitero.
    5. Mahal ang cost of living sa big cities. Check out www.glassdoor.com for comparative salaries. And Google 'cost of living'. Sperling's and CNNs are the first ones that show up.
    6. You will indeed miss your extended family.
Unless you rent. In which case sagot ng landlord.

Sa mga nasa US how rampant is the discrimination sa mga Pinoy or other lahi?

I've seen my nephews who migrated to Chicago 3 or 4 years ago, puro pinoy din kaibigan nila dun.
