    van

what is the pros and cons of the following roof

    shignles
    tegula
    long span

in our village marami akong nakikitang naka shingles and it looks cool lalo na sa combination na color dark brown and pastel brown ng house but does it dissipates heat more compare to others and what about its maintenance?

    thanks

    pasingit na rin po.

so ibig po sabihin, if you're targetting a 2M house construction loan, you will need to have 600K on hand to avail of the said Pag-Ibig loan? tama po ba?

15-20K is for the total floor area regardless kung 2 or 3 floors house mo? how about the roofdeck, paano computation nun to the overall cost?

first of all, pinakaimportante, dapat READYMIX CONCRETE ANG BUHOS, AT ISANG BUHUSAN LANG... hindi pwede putol putol, dapat monolithic yun roofdeck para walang tagas talaga sa concrete, then waterproofing:

    a. sahara
    b. mortar seal
    c. rubberized asphalt

kami we have experience both with and A and B, but we suggest C - rubberized asphalt, kasi yun dalawa kung hindi magaling yun naglagay yari na... sa rubberized asphalt dapat maayos yun pagkagawa...
yong mga projects nyo na with roofdecks, any problems so far? tatagal ba na walang tagas yong roofdeck in the years to come given na maayos pagkakagawa as you described? our plan kasi is to have a roofdeck instead of the usual conventional roofing lang. (housing loan na lang kailangan, lot is already ours)
this is similar to those new houses malapit sa Filinvest 2 sa QC na may roofdecks, which makes me think kung may problema ba mga yon...those houses, btw, are constructed by Filinvest inhouse construction daw.

although we do shingles, we recommend cpac monier (its lighter) roof tiles since mas less heat yun compared to shingles, shingles pa nilulumot...

wala kaming tagas sa roofdeck, we are doing 2 buildings right now na nakaroofdeck, okay yun isa, yun isa hindi pa nabubuhusan...

About flooring sa ground floor. Any other tips sa finishings?

This is true and i can prove from my experience in Bahrain. Most of buildings ive seen and stayed for a year were constructed using blocks with styrofoam in between not hollow. Just imagine an outside temperature of 45 deg C at kung nasa loob ka ng bahay ay parang shade temp lang (di pa bukas ang aircon). Pero ang rooftop ay floor slab.

    Sir Van,

May warranty ka ba sa defective works and bad quality? Babalik ba kayo kapag maraming diperensya nakita after less than a year completion?

    Hello,

What is a good brand for a water pump ?

I'm building my house and my storage tank is cistern-type ( underground) so I want my water to reach to my attic ( 3rd floor ) bath room....

In your experience... a good brand - quality and reliability-wise, what can you recommend ?

    Thanks!
