    walang subsitute sa waterproofing... grout kailangan yun para sa tiles, separate pa ang water proofing...

    di ba architech talaga yung mga nagdedesign ng bahay/buildings? iba pa ung mga engineers? civil engineers ba ang tayag sa kanila o ano.

    hmmmm... thanks bro, plan to put up a shed if my tiles will not work. guess the seepage comes from the wall joints coz' no trace of cracks are sighted.

    yup... iba pa... civil/structural engineers... architects are the ones in charge of the aesthetic design, engineers are the ones who check the structural feasibility and design...

    yan din ang worry ko sa roofdeck. kung monolithic, most likely sa joints lang galing seepage. siguro dapat lagyan ng waterstop sa construction joints bago buhusan.

    Not sure if you are referring to the styro foam as water proofing.

    But, we used styro foam in our place as moldings sa wall ng bahay vs. cement. Mas perfect ang cuts ng pre-fabricated styro foam (with cement reinforcement yata), so mas maganda....

    yup ganun nga... basta kapag moldings masmaganda ang pre-fabricated... with or without styrofoam... yun iba gumagamit ng styrofoam pero hindi gumagmit ng hollow-blocks... iba yun methodology nun construction... marami kasing methodology pero economical ang ibang methodology kung townhouse, condo, etc yun paulit-ulit...

    van wilder, okay ba ang gypsum board para sa ceiling instead of the usual plywood? asar kasi mga anay sa lugar namin, pag gypsum board hindi ka gagamit ng mga kahoy para sa ceiling joist. nagtatagal ba yun, say 10years or 15years? ano karaniwan nagiging problema sa gypsum board? hindi ba humihiwalay yung dugtungan pag nagtagal?

    tnx sa mga suggestions mo.
