Yes! I noticed that too.
I mentioned several times at the board na 90% of my family and friends live in homes built in the 80s and older, maybe that's why and taste ko sa bahay makaluma din - combination of wood, stone, and grills. I esp like Adobe hehe
Kahit na safe and neighborhood, I am not comfortable na glass lang kasi masyado tumatak sa isip ko yung movie I watched when I was young. I forgot the title pero men were trying to invade their home and good thing the Dad built a security system na may bumababa ng steel to close off the windows and doors na glass part. I always think of war or anarchy situations and how my home would NOT be easy to break intoAlso, I feel like I am being watched kapag puro salamin :P
My ideal lot is 800 sqm. I want my home to be maximum 60% structure, the rest will be garden, backyard and side garden (my parents house, my lola and dad's sister, around 50% lang ang structure so I want my house to be the same)
If I won the lottery, at least 1000 sq m with a pool. Bilang ata sa 10 daliri kilala ko may pool. I am shocked with homes I see on real estate channels, 250 sq m may pool, e dati you need at least 1000 sq m ata
same

Swimming pools are white elephants ... affluent villages usually have a max 60% rule on structures ...
Oh. I didn't know the 60% percentage max rule in some villages pala. It makes sense for me, mas maaliwalas.
Anyway, dream ko talaga pool. I wonder if I could ever live in a house with a pool in my lifetimeMy labs would enjoy a pool so much. But yes everyone says it's hard to maintain. My lola used to have a huge pond, pinatambakan na ng lupa. Pond pa lang yun, what more daw pool kaya NO daw hahaha

someone volunteered that the monthly can be as low as about 6K Php, whether one used it or not, and assuming nothing goes wrong.
it gets worse if one does not do regular maintenance.
if one is ok with spending 6K a month, whether they use it or not...
i used "coin purse" and not "wallet".
tax your patience and not your bankbook.
heh heh.
but if one sees it as an ornament, like a garden...

To keep consumables down, there are equipments like pool ionizers & salt chlorinators....depends on the pool type, mineral or salt.
Ionizer equipped mineral pools use about half less chlorine than traditional chlorine-only pools.

Yang pool ang kinokontra ko sa village association namin. Kasi aside from the kickback on the construction. Maintenance costs will definitely be added to our dues. Nagulat nga ako sa HOA namin kasi ang agenda in one meeting is the construction of a swimming pool and the need to increase HO dues dahil kapos daw sa current maintenance ng village. Kung kukunin mo naman sa rental, you need to let in outsiders to be sustainable, sa security at parking naman ang tama.
yeah on the side is their garden of similar or larger area then they have a basketball court which I haven't even seen
Yup, I don't know the size of my Lola's pond pero as a kid I had thoughts of swimming on it. LOL. Of course I never did, it was probably 4 feet deep kasi deeper than what I would typically see, sobrang uso ponds in the 80s . Pero pinatambakan na ng lola ko ng lupa at tinaniman na ng plants

As both a homeowner & a worker, I will never want 1 myself.[emoji4]

I don't swim, but I find pools relaxing. Sarap tumambay by the pool.
