It seems apparent na sa Pinas di talaga isyu and drinking and driving. Is it really not and issue? Some will contend or even make the excuse na di naman prevalent and drunk driving mishaps dito. Is that true? Also cops may be ill equipped or under manned to take sobriety tests so i suppose it isnt a big deal to be driving intoxicated.

How many bottles of ordinary beer or glasses of hard or wine would be tolerable you think? Or does it even matter given the scenario here?

Do you drink and drive? Or have you ever even driven drunk?

Broke my "no drinking and driving rule" a few months ago. Had 3 San Mig Lights with my wife and sis at Tiendesitas. I didn't feel woozy or anything so nag-drive pa rin ako pauwi to Santolan. Slower than normal nga lang kahit 3AM na. Siguro I am confident enough of the amount of alcohol it takes to impair my driving abilities. I was ready to take a taxi that time kung di ko na talaga kaya.

My wife was counting cars out loud on the way home though

I have never drunk and driven.

That is why I am almost always the designated driver....

im guilty:drive1::whoa:, i did it a couple of times.

the worst was 3 months ago. i was really drunk and intoxicated. after the session i traveled for 160kms away from home and that was early morning around 3am. i remembered i was travelling(fortunately less cars on the road), my car wiggled and almost hit the gutter but good thing i arrived home safe.

    dont wanna do it again

Yup I do drink and drive, but only up to my limit. When Alam ko na natatamaan na ko I stop drinking na , water na lang, until I know I can handle to drive. Then I drink coffee before I drive home, steady driving speed 50-60 kph lang. Thats it.

Strictly no alcohol for me, since I'm almost always the designated driver.

Besides, I already have enough problems dealing with the effects of iced tea when I'm driving. :D

I don't drink, and on the certain occasions I am coerced to, I make sure I don't have to drive.

how do we gauge when tama na ang tama? kung may kaunting tama na. btw, has anyone had that "auto pilot" experience where some claim they wake up the next day and were unsure how they got home. like they got home on "auto pilot".

Technically, drinking 2 bottles of beer a night would still be considered "drinking". So to be honest, I do.

In my college days, I'd driven home once or twice on several shots of Jack, Johnny and a few other southern gentlemen, along with healthy doses of beer. But this was before diabetes, and my tolerance was pretty strong then.

But I've outgrown that foolishness. I hardly ever drink nowadays. And when I do, it's usually just one or two bottles. I'm usually the designated driver because of this.

Which made it all the more embarrasing getting into an accident after my bachelor's party... ouch. You can never be too careful... and you should NEVER break your safety rules... EVER. That "just once" may be the "just once" you'll always regret.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

No, I don't drink drive. I don't even drink much, if at all. Heck, I'm even the butt of jokes in the family because of it - lagi daw bitin ang mga party namin magpipinsan, kasi a) maaga ako matulog, at b) hindi ako umiinom, so ako driver. By 10PM raw, either uuwi na kaming lahat o maiwanan ko sila.

It's definitely NOT a non-issue though. My aunt has been invovled in multiple drink-drive related accidents (drinking while driving). Last year, a Mitsu Adventure driven by a drunkard kissed our Toyota Revo's ass as it was pulling out of a parking space.

Having a "just this once!" attitude to drinking and driving is like finding yourself without a condom, saying "what the heck!" and having *** anyway. Come to think of it...
