Ako mag assemble rin, mag order ako ng parts this week, yung yanmar na imitation na electric start (12 hp) and 5.5kVA dynamo then 5kVA AVR and pulleys and belts..

Back view with the weatherproof power socket and small access door for checking and inspection of the back of the genset including its spark plug.

    Nice one leinaghtan.

What soundproofing material did you use?
Is it just an exhaust pipe extension?

It's just a stainless pipe 1/2" -enlarger coupling - 1" pipe - 1" elbow. Para di sakal yung usok kaya I thought of the enlarger.

Significant ba noise reduction? How about heat dissipation by the fan, enough ba?

All the same 3600rpm din, same as gas. At parang mas tahimik pa gas kesa disel na open type?

Tumahimik sya. The active fan can reduce the heat from the inside kasi sa opposite side panel nito nilagyan ko rin ng passive ventilation holes.

(10kva pataas)

sa init ng exhaust pipe kadalasan nag start ang fire.... i suggest ample space and put fire retardant foam and top it with steel screen sa area ng exhaust pipe..

Ok thanks for the precautions/suggestions. All areas of concern will be dealt with. Yung sa area ng pipe holding it from the panel may fireproof belt (I dont know what it is called) Yung nilalagay na holder sa tail pipe ng mga vehicles. Will still need to make minor mods sa areas where heat would mostly develop. My genset is just 4.5kva.

Basta direct coupled sir, expect a higher rpm, mapa diesel or gas, or yung mga air cooled, typical, highspeed.

Just purchased a Kubota replica made by Chingqong Golden Bow, 14 HP direct injection engine, i-drive nya sa ngayun ay 5kW na dynamo/alternator... Expected fuel cost for an 8 hour operation at around 2kW load is PhP 150.00 hehehe...

Yung direct coupled diesel na china made na sinasabi rated above 5kVA, is in real life 4kVA lang, aside from that 1 liter per hour ang consumption at around 50% load..

Air-cooled type is no exception. Buti pa nga yung genset may exhaust fan, bahay ko wala eh, he he. Seriously, my main concern before making this project is all about safeties. Thanks for the heads up anyways.
