I am not a lawyer but negligence causing damages can be filed. Civil case for damages yan if they can prove that there is a defect in the construction of the house/buidling.

This is pursuant to Article 2176 of the New Civil Code of the Philippines, which provides: “Whoever by act or omission causes damage to another, there being fault or negligence, is obliged to pay for the damage done. Such fault or negligence, if there is no pre-existing contractual relation between the parties, is called quasi-delict.... Now since binili nila sa ecoland yung bahay ang there is implied warranty against defect sa cosntruction, puwede din breach of contract ang cause for the damage. Breach of contract is defined as the failure without legal reason to comply with the terms of a contract. It is also defined as the failure, without legal excuse, to perform any promise which forms the whole or part of the contract. Part of the promise is that integrity of the construction of the house kasi. Pero siyempre ipaglalaban ng ecoland na maaring hindi naman kasama ang malakas na earthquake sa warranty nila. Either way, they use both arguments as legal basis for asking for damages.

Oo, need mo expert testimonies na hindi pasok sa standards ng building code yung nasirang bahay. So medyo tricky kasi matagal na building codes natin at malamang hindi naman ganun kataas standards since outdated na. Tsaka again baka hindi kasama sa requiremnet na earthquake proof kasi. Kung meron sana may idea from the construction industry baka mas maliwanagan tayo.

Yung nagrereklamo kasi dapat magalabas ng proof of negligence or culpability ng builder.

Playing safe by the OCBO? Tama konti lang condo rito sir. Kung 8 ang gusto nila i vacate e baka ubos yun. Pero , am sure isa hindi, condo(one oasis) ng tita ng wife ko kasi my clearance na daw sila according to her.

Yes, iba na naman sir. Daming aftershocks, right now meron na naman. Bridge totally close sa may balusong diversion coz of cracks kaya sobrang possible traffic sa Matina area.
Abrezza mall, may bumigay din ata sa may parking area.
Plan to go out, to fetch my child, possible route is Matina Pangi road, which is rough road at mabundok pa. Don't know kung kakayanin ng vios ko kasi malakas pa ulan dito ngayon.

Abrezza mall, may bumigay din ata sa may parking area.
Plan to go out, to fetch my child, possible route is Matina Pangi road, which is rough road at mabundok pa. Don't know kung kakayanin ng vios ko kasi malakas pa ulan dito ngayon.

According to my friends who went there during the earlier earthquakes, it seems that hollowblock makers in Mindanao add molasses to the mixture. This allows the hollowblocks to set immediately, however when it gets wet, the molasses melts away and reduces the strength and integrity of the resulting structure.
