academy people are different. first, qualify to enter the academy, pass the entrance test, pass the rigors of plebehood, yearling, cow and a firstie. in other words, he or she will have been a soldier or a military member for at least four years. imagine to be a cadet of the long gray line you have to compete for a single slot of say an opening of 300, thousands compete to be in the first 300, enlisted however, after boot camp, they become privates but never sergeants

It's not about starting as a CEO, but having a higher starting position compared to others.
Eto general (so may exceptions) observation ko from our batch:
Honor grads from good school - 40k and up
Good school grads - 25k and up
Regular school grads - 15k and up
From there siyempre yung mga tunay na magaling, kahit sa baba nagsimula, makakahabol. Yung mga on-paper lang magaling, mahahabol din ng iba. Pero yung mga magaling tapos mataas nagsimula, namamaximize yung opportunity given to them.

But then again life is unfair.

you see, life is unfair. the chances of getting hired are subjective, depending upon the applicant or the prospective employer,
depending if the applicant looks gorgeous in a micro skirt to a nyakis employer, depending if the applicant is owed a favor, too many mitigating factors. sometimes your diploma goes out the door. nobody wins all the time.

The moment we're born,we started to learn, time for schooling teaches us about everything we'll never learn from experiences,so school really matters, besides life is a continuing experience and learning

But just because there are a few who get to places unfairly, doesn't mean that you won't try to cover all bases by graduating from a good school with honors, while developing a good work ethic, and developing people and leadership skills by being active in orgs.

Bro.,- Saleslady pa rin ba siya? Ilan taon na siya?
Kawawa naman iyan....Kung mako-contact mo,- baka gusto niya ng trabaho,- as Customer Service Representative/Planner... Puwede siyang mag-apply,- she has to start somewhere in the corporate world,- kaysa masayang naman ang pinag-aralan niya (may honors pa siya) diyan sa pagiging Saleslady.... I am certain that this job will open up opportunities for her here or abroad.....

it is a free country. you can try, keyword: try the best you can. but face it, you are talking about the philippines. but there are no guarantees just because you graduated from a exceptional school. there are more odds you have to overcome unless you are either exceptional or you are connected or the prospective employer owes your family a really big favor, or you have the advantage

You only work with what you can change. No use crying over the fact that your parents aren't well connected. But you can work on becoming an exceptional student so you can enter a good school, and then work even harder to get honors, join competitions, hold org leadership positions.
At least kahit papano, napataas mo yung chances mo of a better corporate career, and you also maximized all the opportunities available to you. No guarantees parin, but you did your best and that's really all that matters.
