Sad to say, very few employers are interested in giving chances...they're more concerned with the business itself.

My aunt who worked at a bank had this observation as well. Gusto yung matataas na sweldo pa. i came from a "top" university( i use the term "top" very loosely) but i felt that i lacked actual skills, so i started as a PC engineer, taught myself Linux and Windows, bought second hand networking equipment at HMR and learned by trial and error.

Still not successful though, bad career choices :p
