    Actually ang nagpaalis sa US, si Mr Pinatubo...nung maginit ang ulo niya, nagkaripasan ng takbo mga kano.

    I think the Senate led by Jovito Salonga had voted to kick the US Bases out before the Pinatubo eruption. There was even a symbolic march in Subic led by Erap and Nikki Coseteng who were both senators at that time. The US already proposed an extension of the Bases Agreement and it was turned down despite the pleas of Pres. Cory to the Senate leadership.
