mas maraming may trabaho ngayon kesa nung US bases pa noon.
ba't renz san ka punta sa HKG hehe? if the Chinese invades us, we fight. been studying the Iraq style of war for almost a year now, we can do it to them once they occupy us. 2 Billion chinese only means we kill more of them than us.
i really don't buy that crap that the world favors China over us bec. they have the factories. What the US is doing is attacking them from within. IF China becomes aggressive and pursues expansionism, then they are communist invaders, bec. that is their government.
If a communist country attacks a democratic country, then the rest of the world will side to us. and they will punish China with embargoes and sanctions thereby all achievements thru capitalism they have will halt na. and the people will turn against their own government, pag nawala yun mga privileges and benefits nila.
ang kailangan lang naman i-remove sa China eh ang communist government nila. sad nga lang, kasi tayo ang gagawing collateral damage. eh kasalanan din natin eh, disunited tayo. maybe what we really need is a full-blown war for us to get to our senses, hindi yun huwad na war that the Katipuneros did in late 19th century.
and also don't get scared if the Chinese have nukes or WMDs. Russia had those too and look what happened to them. Communism collapsed bec. the ideology is not sustainable. The Russians were extremely nationalistic but they too turned against their commy govt.
----
but we're just being too pessimistic if China do occupy is. hindi nga maintindihan ng China kung ano sila eh communist ba, capitalist ba. para sila yun mga insurgents dito, CPP, NDF ano ba talaga kuya? kung tutuusin the US already planted a virus to their nationalism when they started producing for the West.
Points to remember:
2. In case, they occupy the Panatag Shoal (which they already started drilling), nothing will happen just like sa ibang mga reefs sa West Philippine sea na pag-aari ng mga ibang bansa kasama na Pinas. Sa ating wika, "wala tayong magagawa". Ganun talaga eh. Kaya malabong magka-bakbakan.
More or less Panatag Shoal is loss already. What can poor Juan do if the Chinese builds a garrison on top of it? Even if the PHL goverment goes to every international courts, wala silang makukuha dun. No other country recognizes Scarborough Shoal as part of the PHL except the PHL. This is what we get for being Juan Tamad after the US left.
Last thing in the Chinese minds is invading the PHL. Bad business sense...

PH getting assuming?
Philippines says US to protect it in South China Sea - Yahoo! News PhilippinesPhilippines says US to protect it in South China Sea
The Philippines said Wednesday the United States had pledged to protect it from attacks in the South China Sea, a day after China issued a warning over a territorial row in the waters.
Defence Secretary Voltaire Gazmin said he had received the assurances during talks in Washington last week in which the Philippines' increasingly tense dispute with China over rival claims to a shoal in the sea were discussed.
Gazmin said US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Defence Secretary Leon Panetta stressed they were not taking sides in the dispute, but they assured the Philippines the United States would honour a 1951 mutual defence treaty.
"It includes armed attack... (on) island territories in the Pacific (region)," Gazmin said, citing conditions for the allies coming to each other's aid.
In answer to a question about the dispute with China over Scarborough Shoal, Gazmin said he had interpreted remarks by Clinton to mean the United States would protect the Philippines from any attack in the South China Sea.
"Overall, with these statements, they cover our problem in the West Philippine Sea," he said, using the Philippine name for the waters.
China and the Philippines have had vessels stationed at Scarborough Shoal for more than a month in an effort to assert their sovereignty over the area.
China claims virtually all of the South China Sea as its own, even waters close to the coasts of other Asian countries.
The Philippines insists it has sovereignty over the shoal because it falls within its 200-nautical-mile exclusive economic zone.
The shoal sits about 230 kilometres (140 miles) from the Philippines' main island of Luzon and 1,200 kilometres northwest from the nearest major Chinese land mass, according to Filipino navy maps.
Taiwan, Brunei, Vietnam and Malaysia also claim parts of the South China, which is believed to sit atop vast oil and gas resources, making the area one of Asia's potential military flashpoints.
China warned on Tuesday it was prepared for "any escalation" in the dispute with the Philippines, which followed an editorial in a newspaper run by the ruling Communist Party calling for a small-scale war to end the stand-off.
Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario also issued a statement on Wednesday saying that Clinton and Panetta had reaffirmed during the Washington talks US commitment to the mutual defence treaty with the Philippines.
IMO, the Philippines should keep it's cards and not say anything about US help in the open.
Umiinit ulo ko when i see the news articles of what the Chinese ships are doing. No offense meant to our Chinese and Fil-Chi. friends and countrymen, but China's really being an assertive ass.
A screenshot of the Philippines News Agency website (www.pna.gov.ph) as of 3:55 a.m. Thursday, which was hacked a second time since Wednesday afternoon. The hackers claimed Chinese sovereignty over the Panatag (Scarborough) Shoal. GMA News
"Huangyan Island belongs to China, what power you have said is you? ... Tolerance is not possible, no need to endure," said the hackers in their message, while the Chinese national anthem played in the background.
CH will just go ahead and build more structures in the shoal. PH can do nothing but complain. PH, if it knows what is best for it and for the state of the world, should not escalate it further.
Sure, it's very aggravating being bullied like this, but what can the PH do? Complain to UNCLOS? Despite the fact that there are already doubts to the validity of such an action and conveniently forgetting the fact that CH is a permanent member of the UN Security Council?
So, ano? Escalate it? Paano? Go on the offense? The US isn't exactly in the best of shape right now. It may have to defend the PH in case of unjustifiable hostile actions but CH will not make that mistake. The PH, on the other hand, with its halfass student council government, just may do something stupid and then CH will be wholly justified to retaliate.
Easiest way CH can screw PH right now without firing a single gun? Economic warfare. CH can easily drop all trade relations with PH in exchange for the oil and natural gases they get.
Best way right now, imo, is to silently lodge the complaints but focus more on solving this country's problems first. Build a stronger PH, in terms of being an economic superpower in the long term. Ganyan na ang labanan ngayon. Di na uso ang military wars. This is the exact reason why the US does not strong-arm China today.
Kita ko lang sa twitter.

Chinese travel agencies suspend trips to Philippines
SHANGHAI - Chinese travel agencies have suspended tourist packages to the Philippines and promised refunds to customers who have booked trips, Chinese state media reported Thursday, as tensions over disputed islands in the South China Sea escalated.
Companies including Ctrip.com and Beijing International Travel Service have halted all tours to the Philippines and say they will not accept bookings until the situation improves, Chinese media reported.
The Chinese embassy to the Philippines warned its citizens in Manila to stay off the streets during planned anti-China protests expected to take place on Friday.
I'd dare the filipinos to boycott travel to HK and Macau... Also to order all OFWs working in China to return home as a sign of protest.
I think the Chinese is giving too much credit to the protest action coming this friday. They're all bark and no bite naman...

Dami nga anti-US rallies dito eh. Does the US give a ****? Nope. Did they achieve anything? Nope, except maybe deface the embassy letters because the police were sleeping.
The protesters will march to the Chinese embassy. Tapos mga policemen, sympathizing with the protest, will do nothing to stop the imbeciles from entering embassy grounds and vandalizing everything they see.
I think PH should give up Scarborough Shoal already.
Charge to experience nalang then build a stronger military fleet.
