Since my work ends at 2am, my way home (through SLEX) is busy with large trucks and trailers. I guess this is why my dad discourages me from driving to work and drives me home from work instead. How do you guys handle driving around large trucks at such a fast pace?

In my case I overtake them prompted as necessary with a couple of beeps to let them know I'm there...

Do not drive beside them. Either you pass them or you let them pass (you)...

And wag ka basta mag sudden stop baka ma rear end ka nila mahina kapit ng preno ng mga yan dahil bukod sa mabigat karga nila madalas di well maintained

Very good suggestions. Couldn't have said it any better. Use of horn - or lights as needed - necessary as well when passing them. Mahirap na hindi mapansin.

Minsan sumabay sa akin dito - ang isang executive ng kumpanya namin sa US (doon kasi wala halos bumubusina...- mayroon nga akong car rental dati - 3 buwan kong ginamit,- hindi ko maibusina- dinis-able yata.... hehehe).... Anyway, tanong niya rin sa akin bakit daw ang mga Pinoy bumubusina kasi sa kanila offensive iyon... Pero sinabi niyang amazed siya dahil kahit na dikitan ang distansya ng mga sasakyan walang aksidente,- di tulad sa kanila na kaliwa't kanan ang aksidente...

That's true bro. hahahaha hirap din dito satin lahat sumisingit pa, ayaw na magbigayan. Tapos walang disiplina. Mga jeep dito sa gitna ng kalsada nagbababa tas biglang hihinto pa. Yung mga bus naman mga sira ulo pag alam nilang walang bantay na MMDA. tapos wala ding disiplina mga motorista. hindi ko nilalahat pero karamihan. gusto lagi silang mauuna kahit nakanguso na sasakyan ko yung iba pa walang helmet. makakasabay ko sa litex. kaya naman mabilis disgrasya dun para sakanila.
