Are Air Force guys that vulnerable or predisposed to PTSD? imho it's the grunts who are usually exposed to in-your-face combat.

^ oslob whale watching was nice...you get to swim with them while the fishermen bait them with alamang...pero medyo bitin, mga 15 min lang, and the butantings only show up un the early morning (4-7am), kaya around 2:30am biyahe na kami. Travel time from Cebu city mga 2-3 hours through winding uphill roads. Can't remember the entrance fee but they have "different" rates for foreigners

btw the water is very deep, as in a few meters lang from shore e hindi mo na makikita ung seabed. You will need life vests or be really good swimmers. The beach is pretty rugged/rocky so wear your surf shoes.

Walang kainan dun na malapit...but we did find this mini resort...i call it German Town, the owners appear to be German bikers

^ the beach itself is pretty rugged. Pag sanay kayo sa resort ata Shangri La Cebu e baka magulat kayo

So kasama na yong banca and life jacket sa entry fee bro?

it could be bro, even without combat tho look at those chinook pilots & crews who are into recovery/rescue missions at war specially in afghanistan. exposed din naman sila sa mga horrific casualties.
and how those jet/attack helicopter pilots pulverized the enemies.

    Can't remember...parang kasama na sir.

Re Kawasan: konting ingat lang dun, word is every year me nadidisgrasya dun. The water is very cold, and there's an undercurrent that can pull you under...it's not salt water so you'd be less buoyant. The old timers say the place is Taw-an(enchanted)

And swim at the higher pools, much cleaner. Kung hindi maliligo kayo sa libag ng mga taong nasa upper levels. Minsan me mga ogags pa na nagdadala ng sabon at naliligo dun.

^ thanks again for the tips and the words of caution. Medyo sanay na din naman kami sa mga falls and the like since laking mindanao naman din kami aT medyo outdoorsy hehe but like you said, kelangan talaga mag-ingat pag nature ang katapat. Kung hindi kaya hindi na din pipilitin

We'll also be wary of the ogags upstream too

Tried Bondi and Burke. Pricey, but huge servings. Taste-wise, just okay. Nothing I'd go back for, really.

A couple of years ago we did the whole swimming-with-the-whales thing in Oslob! I don't remember how much but the price included the boat ride out, lifejacket and briefing. The whalesharks ranged from about human-sized (haha) to huuuge. The swimmer in our group dived right in without need for the vest, but us average swimmers weren't so brave Overall a good experience, though there was a bit of guilt about supporting an activity that ruins the area's marine ecosystem.

Afterwards, we went to Tumalog Falls, about 20 minutes away from the whale sharks. You'd need to leave your car at the parking area then ride on the back of a motorcycle to get near the falls.

Pro Tip: Bring a GoPro with a waterproof case

Yeah I heard about that.. pero katatapos lang nyan a few weeks ago sa glorietta.. sayang.

I only know one store that sells discounted skechers, merrell, sperry, etc; and that store is named "Fusion" which is located in Farmers Plaza. Yun lang ang alam ko na outlet store.

Speaking of shoes, since pricey yung adida ultraboost and supernova and hard to find yung pureboost, I'm torn to which of these shoes do I need to buy:

    - adidas alphabounce
    - skechers burst

    Which is ok?
