Andaming nag-rally, I applied for Bracket 5, pero na-Bracket 9 ako. (Which is weird, since yung older brother na nasa UPLB, Bracket 7!) OK lang, since my parents and I saw the wisdom and logic behind STFAP.

Kaya nga nagtataka ako, bakit nagra-rally yung mga UP students. Those who have more in life, should pay full tuition (which is a whole lot less compared to private schools). If you're less fortunate, libre tuition mo, and kung Bracket 1 to 4 ka, you even have a monthly stipend! They can't expect 100% govt. subsidy, that would be wishful thinking. My God, since 1989, walang tuition increase sa UP! Wake up and smell the coffee, andami nang mayayamang estudyante sa UP, they should be made to bear the full cost of education. Para na rin ma-upgrade yung ibang buildings at classrooms sa Peyups, at madagdagan sweldo ng faculty and non-teaching personnel (dapat ma-exclude na rin sila sa SSL)

When I entered in 1988, only a few classrooms sa CAS UP Manila were airconditioned. When I graduated in 94, halos lahat aircon na, pati yung reading rooms sa CAS library, tapos na-renovate yung Little Theater. That is where our money went, put to good use. I hope the same scenario exists today, haven't been to my alma mater for quite sometime
Ganun rin pala nung 1989, nagkagulo rin?
