Lea and Agot - both high standards. Ry mentioned na high standard si Lea, which is true, unfortunately we can't expect that from Filipinos. Sa Japanese yes, but not Filipinos. It stems from a deep-seated resentment that they aren't as educated, as successful, or as "alta" as these people, so it manifests in spite.

In a way, many people are really victims of cirumstance - kahit matalino ka or masipag, if you're poor, it takes a lot of effort and luck to get into a good school for college which sets you up for higher chances of a successful career. Meanwhile daming anak-mayamang tamad and di naman masyadong matalino pero nakakapasok sa good schools kasi siyempre kahit bops ka kung maganda grade school and high school mo, mas mataas chances mo makapasok magandang college.

What if lahat ng gamit ni Jinkee is Hermes and LV? Kahit anong anggulo di na matatago yan. Subtle na nga mga pagyayabang ng mga ultra rich pinoys compared sa mga ultra rich caucasians.

My bigger issue is that the bike is expensive only because it's branded as Hermes. None of the specs look any better than your typical Japanese bike.

Would've been cooler to see a top-spec Santa Cruz his and hers.

It's the working middle class that shows resentment sa mga ultra rich. I don't see the masa naiinggit sa mga idols nila. The masa don't even know how expensive the things that the rich are flaunting.

Nung minsan while biking, we stopped by a sarisari store to take a break and have some snacks, sabi nung isang tao, siguro may 10 thousand pesos yang mga bike nyo no? We just smiled and replied: Wala naman po.
