True...her English was barok, and true....she didn't really answer the question asked.

All she did was giving us an annoying "arte" slang, and a lame excuse of being inexperienced at just 17.

What makes it REALLY REALLY worst is that most of the judges favored her.

Hang the judges! Walang kasalanan si Janina. Spare her naman.

    Janina! Nandito lang ako.....hehehe.

talagang may pulitika sa loob. dati auditing firm ng father ko lagi tabulator nila. after nila mag walk-out dahil binubulungan sila kung sino papanalunin ng mismong organizer e di na sila uli kinuha. hahahahaha.

it's not her fault - she still did her best even if she couldn't take the pressure.

the blame lays on the judges and organizers for picking her.

Oh ridiculous. She (#15) probably already had 90% of the contest wrapped up. What's bad was the other contestants having to keep smiling knowing the contest is over. Like I really would keep a happy face knowing I lost..... They're probably thinking, "Let's get this over with already. I'm tired and I want to go home".

Maybe the judges saw beyond the grammar. Remember, the panel of judges have looked the candiates and reviewed their performances before the pageant event. Sa Bb. Pilipinas - and all pageants, may pre-judging. So she dropped the ball dun sa big night. Malay natin? She performed well dun sa maraming pre-pageant events.

Take Melanie Marquez as an example. Her grammar was not that good when she won Bb. Pilipinas - International in 1978/79. She won the Ms. International pageant the very same year.

Sabi ko nga sa ka office mate ko na girl - who was critical about how this candidate performed "How sure are you that, if you were in that pressure situation, you wouldn't fumble?" Eh sagot nya eh hinde daw.

Made a fumble on the 1st 20-yard catch that was thrown his way during the last game of rookie camp before the coaching staff is to hand out pink slips. However, the coaching staff saw he had the "right stuff"...decided to keep him...then lo and behold, the rookie made the most important touchdown half-way through the season sending his team to the play-offs.

Lay easy boys and gels...almost all of us made huge fumbles - or will make huge fumbles - at some point in time.

    My two cents.

Sana Pilipino na lang ginamit niya. Trying hard tuloy ang dating niya. May pa-American twang pa kasi, lalong natalisod. First pageant niya daw yun at 17 lang siya. Well....she should have prepared for the pressure and the jitters that came with joining such a contest. This one takes the cake. Probably to get her side of what happened. Ayun, nagkalat din. Tinanong daw yata tungkol sa lugar. May nasabi na "I'm not very good at Geometry." or something. Somehow hinahanap mo tuloy yung mga Binibining Pilipinas of the past. Di man kagandahan, pero may utak. Gloria Diaz, Pilar Pilapil, Margie Moran, Pinky Brosas, Melanie Marquez, Aurora Pijuan to name a few. May naalala din ako na winner ng Binibining Pilipinas-Universe dati (I just can't recall her name.) na di gaano maganda pero ang tangkad at ***y tapos.....Summa cum Laude pa ng UP College of Medicine. Napapanganga tuloy ako sa mga sagot niya. It makes you look beyond the body.

The Philippines: A country of Pageants, Showbiz and Politics....... (and basketball?)

Nakakatuwa, A pageant being talked about in a male-dominated auto forum. Can't find that anywhere else .

one thing is for sure, with all the publicity na nakukuha nya ngayon... sisikat ang batang yan

17 pa lang naman sya... madami pa sya matututunan, but she'll be needing a lot of training.
