Looks like the HBC feature works only in really dark countryside roads.

I can live with minor nitpicks such as the lack of auto door locks, no keyless door button despite having autostart feature, lack of rear aircon vents, or even non-reclining rear seats. But I really wish Mazda installed a better horn as current one is a joke.

But we do get many features uncommon in the CUV category so I guess we can't have it all.

Thanks for the input! By the way, I just found a video demonstrating the lane departure warning system. I guess its activated only at speeds over 65mph or 104kph which might be quite useful during long distance driving.

Yes. As in total darkness. I think dapat walang car in front and behind you and no street lights and hindi full moon bago gagana yung HBCS. I turned mine off na rin.

Has any of you noticed if the Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) is working. I've tried to see if the headlight turns at different speeds and different angles when turning pero wala talaga ako mapansin na pagbabago sa angle ng headlights when turning. I've already asked the technicians of 2 mazda dealers if there's any way of testing if its working and they don't know how. I'm beginning to think that the CX-5 AWD is not equipped with AFS and that this is just a typo error when the specs were being made.

Anyway, here's a recent review of the CX-5 AWD made by topgear philippines:

Sana nga software upgrade lang kailangan para mag autolock when driving. Available na kasi to sa ibang countries before pero di sinama sa features ng local version. Baka it needs additional hardware at di nilagay to cut cost.

Yes, Dapat total darkness. As in no street lights, no cars in front or behind you, no light from houses along the road, at hindi full moon bago mag auto high beam ang HBC. I turned it off na rin so I can switch to high beam on demand.

Has any of you noticed if the Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) is really working. I have tried many times to check if the angle of the headlight changes when turning but don't notice any. I also asked the service personnel of 2 dealers if they have any way of checking if its working and they both don't know any. I think wala talagang AFS ang CX-5 AWD. Baka nagkamali lang yung gumawa ng specs

Sana nga no need for additional hardware. Kasi currently yung HU natin can already control the lights and locking mechanism(locks the doors after 30/60/90 seconds).

Got the lane departure warning system to work today while travelling sa SLEX. The CX-5 gives a slight vibration warning while turning down music volume when slowly changing lanes. But if you activate the turn signal while changing lanes, there's none.

Densker, please update the thread if dealer is able to activate auto lock feature via software only

    Hello all & CX5s,
Any of you tried using collinite 845 to your unit? What are the advantages & disadvantages? I read this in one of the threads....

All cars namin 845 gamit ko. We very rarely park under the sun though. Usually covered parking pag nasa office or mall.

Watermarks will form basta natuyo sa araw ang tubig ulan. The only remedy is covered parking. Konti lang naman difference sa presyo

Thanks JohnM, same here, garage queen naman unit ko, my only worries ay yung matiyempuhan ng ulan while parked sa malls then bigla umaraw ng mainit, though mine is aluminum metallic kaya di halata, but we all hate watermarks especially pag brand new pa...hehe.
