    2006 CRV vs. 2013 CX-5

    Suspension - CX-5 is firmer
Air conditioning - CRV is colder

Sir Vertigo, I'm seriously considering CX5, my current car is '08 CRV 2.0, could you pls. elaborate
more on riding comfort (front &rear passenger) especialy on concrete roads as against the CRV, although I'm not familiar
with the gen2's ride. Medyo napansin ko nga na mukang mahina nga A/C ng CX5.
Would highly appreciate your reply. Thanks

I don't know how to elaborate further pero to be honest, i think the ride is firmer because of the 17" wheels compared to my CRV's 16". Pero as a driver you don't really notice it. It's negligible actually. Don't know lang sa likod.

Also, my 2006 CRV's tires require 29 psi tire pressure while the CX-5 indicates it needs 32 or 33 psi (dont remember exactly which)

How would you compare the ride with Tucson and Escape? So far, my ranking is Xtrail>CRV>Escape>Tucson. Our new Grand Starex rides better than the Tucson IMO.

Ever since naman talagang mahina aircon ng Mazda. Kahit sa ibang units nila, particularly the Mazda 3 & CX7. Ewan ko lang sa CX9.

Better call and ask hillsborough so they can explain it to you better. I won't be able to explain it as well as steve does but it's like a regular double wax other detailers use but the wax hillsborough use and te steps they take to apply it is much better and truly makes a difference. My black forester was maintained by them i had that car for 3 years and before i sold it, it looked much better than when it came out of casa.

Finally got my CX 5 today, Crystal White! First driving impression, it's very good! Not as fast as the other SUV's out there when driven from a stand still but once it is moving, you can feel the power when you press the accelerator. Vertigo is right, the stock horn really sucks and the first on the list to be replaced tomorrow and a backing sensor maybe. One thing I noticed and forgot to ask from my SA is that it does not have an auto door lock when the car starts moving. Going to have the mud guard, front door guard and rain gutter installed tomorrow (pinabili ko sa kumpare ko from Japan who came last Sunday. Nauna pa nga accessories kesa unit...hehehe) Going to visit Hillsborough for that Quick Paint protection makeover pag uwi namin Marikina.

Ano tire pressure ng car mo when you took it from casa? Mine was a
whooping 36 psi! Can you imagine that? Pinapalitan ko air with nitro and the tire pressures to 30psi and the result is a much better ride comfort! Pina tint ko car using Huper Optik tint sa casa and they deducted cost of the free tint kaya hindi masyado mainit sa loob car coz the heat rejection of the tint is very good at 92% yata yun! Had the mudguard and window rain visor installed sa casa and they did not charge extra for the labor. Will post pics mmaya cguro.

I didn't check the tire pressure when they delivered to the office but I pumped it up to 33psi as recommended.

    Thanks for the feedback sir!
My experience with my Gen3 CRV is excessive road noise at Hway speed (NLEX, SLEX), also on coarse asphalt road even at 50-60 kph. Very particular ako sa ride comfort (aside from the CX5's overall package) 'coz ung "mag-ina ko" ang lagi passenger ko.
Bka mabatukan ako pag mas mtagtag pa sa present ride nmin

Continue with the feedback lang sirs Vertigo & Larry.
