if more than 1M then i'd probably get hrv or even cx5. parang hindi na worth it yung price vs. the sacrifice in terms of interior space.
as per ************ it is confirmed to arrive this year. How much kaya, napapa-dalawang isip tuloy ako to get the CX5 MAXX.![]()
It will be more than a million.

Get the CX-5 Maxx, it has better ground clearance and larger interior. The CX-3 is too low, you're better off buying a Mazda 3 for the same price.
Mazda pasig is now accepting reservations for the cx3. According to the agent i spoke, it will be available end of august, will be available in 2 variant, with 1.5 and 2.0 engines. No detail if the awd version will be available. Pricing is around 1m for the 1.5l and around 1.2m for the 2.0l
Problem with nissan is their branding as a whole
They used to own the ph market during the sentra, datsun, cefiro, bluebird era bec wala masyado kalaban. Slowly napagiwanan sila ng kalaban.
If you go to a nissan dealership sobrang dumi (at least where i went to) literally amoy ipis, walang paki mga sales agents to assist considering wala na nga sila customers. Clearly nissan ph walang paki sa image ng dealers nila.
Aside from bad branding its also the juke itself, its less spacious and styling that i can only gift to my daughter, but to personally own one, ecosport over it.
Pricing seems to be at par with other countries being cx3 slotted in between the totl 2 and the 3. Hope its true.
Things have changed since NPI took over. If you would notice, they're now more competitive in terms of pricing and model launches.
The Juke isn't less spacious than the Ecosport. I've driven and ridden both, and they're just equally cramped compared to similarly priced compacts. Styling is a personal judgment, I think the Juke looks more upscale than the oddly-proportioned Ecosport.
Anyway, back to branding issues - Mazda also ruined itself when they pulled out of the country during the Anfra days, leaving many 323 owners hanging. It took a very good product (the first Mazda 3) to rebuild their brand under FGP. But even then, maintenance costs and parts availability concerns continued to hound the brand. Also, Ford stifled Mazda's growth as they were very late in bringing in the 2nd gen Mazda 3 - it should've been an '09 launch but came 3 years late.
Now, with Berjaya at the helm, Mazda PH is also undergoing a major transformation. Yojin 3 is a great solution to the maintenance concerns of buyers. However, resale value remains low because the stigma of Mazda's past still exists. While fanboys in online forums and social media spazz about their cars, the big picture shows that Mazda remains a niche player. It's very hard to convince people in the province to try out a "new" brand like Mazda.

So they are under new management already? They sure aren't checking how their dealer is, specifically the one i went to couple of months ago, or maybe its still the old management, thats why, doubt it. And nope, I haven't even noticed what cars they offer currently (except the juke since wifey wanted to look at it since she saw one near her office, but she too didn't like it upon seeing it closely) and how their prices are. sorry but to me juke is less spacious overall, you can quote brochure specs all you want on which is roomier, but if i were to choose between only the juke or ecosport as my only car, i'd go with ecosport. But i would still give it to my daughter as her first car over the ecosport, i don't know it just has this girly vibe similar to the first gen rav4 3 door my sister had as her first car. sadly for people like me who grew up with a lot of nissans in the household, to not have a clue what they sell now a days, and after seeing the juke, and to not even bother to look at their other displays says a lot.
Despite not owning a mazda previously and just had a vague memory of a buy a mazda van and get a miata promo, mazda has somewhat captured my interest, and no, its not from fanboys and social media hype that i could care less about, it started really simple, their product looks good. And a test drive by my wife sealed the deal. The dealership where i got it was just renovated, new dealerships seem to be sprouting, new products seem to keep coming out, my local mechanic, and other relatives that aren't car people seem to like what mazda has been churning out too and became interested once seeing the 3. in fact he's thinking of getting the new miata (mid life crisis haha). Best of all, ownership of the mazda is satisfactory so far. And thats what makes for a repeat buyer. Same thing can be applied to Lexus. It had no history here, but its product had something interesting, and backed by a satisfactory ownership, a repeat buy. Majority of my friends have sold their euros in exchange for Lexus.
imho people who factor too much into buying a car because of resale value should not be buying a brand new car at all. go second hand, its what any accountant worth his salt will tell you to do.
and oh yoijin to me isn't great at all in the long term if you are the loyal type to the stealership (which majority of car owners are). mazda will for sure get it back one way or another. its great however for those who only plan to keep the car within 3 years or have it serviced outside after it expires.
^^^ Maybe due to low stock availability, greedy dealers, also the cramped interior and quirky styling. Yeah, the brand is also a factor. Plus it's an old model already (2011?).
BTT, the Mazda CX-3 1.5 will probably retail for 1.1M++, highly unlikey for it to sell at 1M only. But we're hoping it will :-)
Many changed to Lexus because they are cheaper than the German brands. They get tax free benefits courtesy of JPEPA. But things will change since the Germans are also negotiating for their own version of JPEPA. Case in point, the new 2017 Mercedes E-class is now priced cheaper.
Many of my friends changed to lexus bec its not cheaper, its bec they liked lexus. Luxury with none of the headache of owning euros, cant blame them, i personally agree as well.
And more than personal preference and reliability of the vehicle, its the ownership experience from the moment you step foot in the dealership, to the surprise moments you get to receive personalized writing note pads, etc. whole different level
Grabe din pricing ng HRV and CX-3. Maybe they're set phase out the CRV and Cx5 respectively. With sales of 400 - 500 per unit this year.
Toyota ch-r is coming and Nissan still has the Juke. They wont mind if they phase out rav4 and Xtrail. Like the crv and cx5.
ford alreadly lowered their escape to 1.1M to clear inventory.
So the future will be
Ecosport
Mitsu ecosport counterpart
Toyota, Honda, Mazda will not play anymore in that dept and just maybe launch entry levels and totl variants of. HRV, CX3, CHR. That makes sense

And the Korean twins, maybe they'll be like Vw and Peugeot. It 's a global brand yes, but what's the point?
