folks will buy this as a "lifestyle purchase" rather than a practical purchase. for many it will be another car in their garage. Its like a mini cooper. Totally unpractical . But highly desirable

ano kaya ng mazda philippines or mazda in general, I mean they spend so much time enhancing and ehancing their cars, tas wala naman bumibile. grabe din sila magtiis noh. in life, there has to be an outlet somewhere. if you poured too much time on something, sana man lang at least ma-recognize or patronize in terms of actual use of their invention or else mag-implode sila nyan. they brag so much on youtube ads and marketing ads pero deep inside, why is nobody buying?
etong CX3 nun una pinaka-gusto ko eto among the compacts like the HRV, XV and ASX. pero talaga naman nakakapanghina, not even seeing this on the roads. dati sabi ko tagal naman release dito sa Pilipins, para naman makakita ako in person di lang puro youtube reviews sa Australia. now it has been months released here, I mean talaga promise hindi pa ako nakakakita ni isa sa kalsada, and to think I traverse BGC, Makati, Ortigas daily
Agree. I think the only reason people will get this is if they really need the AWD.
Yes they're pretty rare hehe I saw only two cx3 in a span of 4 mos. one in moa area, one in buendia. Gwapo, maporma and cool-looking but not practical talaga.
i think only midgets will appreciate the interior.

Perhaps if the price were a bit more competitive here, this might be a hit as it is in other markets....
Mazda tops small, medium SUV sales in February - Behind the Wheel
I was in a Mazda showroom earlier today. Loved the Mazda CX-3. My only concerns were the ground clearance and the price.
I checked YouTube and it's getting generally good reviews from those abroad, except for the legroom in the backseat but I expected that.
Checked with PH reviewers and whew...generally not positive reviews not because of handling or anything - But price and ground clearance. I did not realize it's the same as a sedan. Bummer.
I'm looking at either the 1.280M or 1.380M variant. I'll probably compare it with the Subaru XV and the Nissan Juke - I'm thinking of going a little smaller from my current Forester.
My other option is to go bigger - maybe the Montero (I know there's a 2017 model in the 1.440M range with discounts) and the Everest (my budget can only go as far as the Trend).
But so far, the 2 cars which make me smile are the Juke and the CX-3 :-)

That's a great color! I promised myself that I don't want either black or white for my next car, but when I saw the white in the showroom, all I could say was wow! Good choice.

Would anyone know what the ground clearance is for the CX-3?

I initially considered it because I thought it's like the XV in ground clearance. Thought after reading through this and the Mazda 3 thread that it's sedan-like, but still higher than a sedan. You just dashed my hopes. Haha.
I will look at the Mazda 3 hatch next time I visit the showroom. And the CX-5.

If you wanted to be different, try the CX-3 but practicality wise it's not.
Just go for a top of the line 3 hatchback.![]()

Mazda CX-3 ground clearance is 3 mm more than the Mazda 3 ... about 158 mm ... one can also be different by getting the 2017 Mazda CX-5 ...
