Paanong maingay, baka yung idleup, maingay talaga para uminit agad. Pero kung diesel na lagatak hmm... I have a Sorento and iba ang ingay ng SkyActiv gas vs R diesel engines.

Thank you

Yep normal sa Skyactiv yang very high rev on cold start. Hinihintay ko na lang mag below 1k before I drive away.

Naexperience ko din to. Medyo natakot ako kasi first time car owner at driver.

You don't have to wait for the blue key to disappear. You're just wasting gas. You may drive away as soon as the revs go below 1k rpm (around 30 secs). The blue key actually disappears faster when you're driving compared to just idling.

Most cars have high idles on cold starts to warm up the engine and cat converter faster. Heck even our 1993 Corolla with carbs revs to 1500 on cold starts when it was new scaring the hell out of my dad who immediately brought it back to the casa to complain. Response? It's normal

I drive off about 30 seconds after ignition. I just keep the revs and speed low and no AC, sayang nga gas.
