Once I ran out of water inside the crater, I texted one of our contacts to meet me at the rim with an ice cold 1.5L Coke. I think drank the whole bottle in one long swig.

What i miss sa mga ganyang adventures ay pag naka dating kana sa destination nyo...youre so tired, hindi nyo na alam kung pano kayo uuwi sa pagod..then out of nowhere, youll have that something in you that will urge you to stand up and go home....

I am getting anxious because the last time nainitan at naalikabukan ako e na ER ako sa Makati Med ng madaling araw I am also allergic to talahib I've been discouraging my boss pero makulit e. Last year pa niya yan kinulit sakin, kasalanan ko naman kasi ako nag bring up ng Tagaytay last time he was here. Pag balik niya uli sa Manila, buti nasa US ako :P Ligtas ako sa kung ano mang nakakapagod na activity gusto niya gawin

It wasn't on a box. Just stored flat (on its sole) Bumuka lang on the first station. Good thing I brought extra shoes kasi I know shoes stored a long time tend to do that hehe

same thing happened to my other brand shoes.
the glue disintegrated from long (9 months) non-use storage.
the sales person said that i should use it, to avoid this disintegration.
personally, i thought it was a poor choice of glue.

i attempted to have it repaired, using glue, but it kept opening up again.
pina-tahi ko na lang, but i don't use it anymore. "un-happy memories".

This was March 2014, about a week before my doctoral grafuation, inside Taal Main Crater, the middle pic shows the Daang Kastila viewdeck (where you took your picture of the lake), the crater lake is in the background. The shoes were about 3 years old (right before I started my PhD) and have walked practically the whole Taal island and then some. Seems fitting for the sole to give out just in time. Luckily I always carry zip ties hehe.

Im not too picky bout shoes when hiking...sometime i just wear sandals form sandugo...i few times i wore metcons..
