Baguio residents may be able to confirm if this is still applicable.

How's the traffic situation there at Baguio? How about Kennon road? Hopefully there's not much construction going on there.

Kennon road is closed to traffic according to DPWH-Cordillera Administrative Region Regional Office's recent post at Facebook:

    DPWH-CAR ROAD ADVISORY
    DECEMBER 1, 218... - DPWH-Cordillera Administrative Region Regional Office | Facebook

The post also mentioned about an alternate route going to or coming from Baguio:

LIGHT VEHICLES bound to and from Baguio City are advised to take the alternate route, ASIN-NANGALISAN-SAN PASCUAL, TUBA BENGUET-TUBAO, LA UNION BOUNDARY ROAD
Anyone here tried this alternate route? How's the road and traffic condition compared to Marcos highway?

    By Rhommel BalasbasDecember 13, 2018 - 06:51 AMSHARE(S): 0

57Km is a long way compared to Kennon, Marcos Hiway and Naguilian...

    And it is not well-lighted...

Not sure if I would like to try it.... Are the roads well-paved?

The new alternate route is longer than the Bauang/Naguilian route but for those coming from Rosario La Union, the alternate route is much nearer compared to taking Naguilian road.
