Relaxed driving lang. Mas lalapit pa yan pagbukas ng Rosario exit ng TPLEX.

Kaya ng isang driver lang ang Vigan. Make sure to make at least a short stop every 2 hours. This is what i did travelling from Manila to Visayas and Manila to Pagudpud - always a lone driver.

    2. nice car audio and plenty of music to play
    3. plenty of sitsirya saka bottles ng energy drink
    4. diyan advantage ang mabungangang misis este makuwento pala
    5. dala ka camera, para pahinto hinto ka kapag gusto mong mag selfie along the way
    6. basang bimpo, panghilamos kapag inaantok
    7. enjoy the ride

Saan pwede mag-park sa Vigan na malapit sa Heritage houses (Crisologo St.)? Saan makakabili ng longganisang Vigan? I mean kung meron bang ibang stores aside from their wet market? Thanks in advance.

Drove to Vigan yesterday. It seems everybody is going out of town.

Lost 30mins at the Dau exit. Lost another 30mins at SCTEX entry. Then lost 40 mins at TPLEX entry. Lost another 50mins at TPLEX exit. These expressways are not ready for mass exodus. :arghhh:

Exited at Urdaneta exit. Laking tulong sana. Then got caught in another heavy traffic at Rosario.

Made a U turn and decided to pass by Manaoag.

Left Las Pinas at 5am and got to Vigan at 9PM.

    Long drive indeed.

Na bottleneck din kami sa Sison on the way to Baguio... We went back to Urdaneta na lang and stayed somewhere here...

How long did it take you to get to Vigan all in all?

Sorry to hear that bro... ito yung north bound traffic jam na kasulubong namin in the morning on my way to manila.
Pero mas ok pa yan kesa akin... right now am still stranded here at T3 via cebu pacific. Dapat 4pm kahapon ang flight ko tapos check-in at 6am for my 8am flight pero 11 am na raw ang departure.
What can i say sa cebupac service. Just trying to comfort myself:cool:

Hope the traffic jam didn't take too much of your holiday time in vigan

Ok ba kalsada all the way to pagudpod?

Were suppose to do this roadtrip on jan2, pero it got moved to jan15 since longer holiday dahil declared ni pnoy na holiday ang jan 19.

Ako lang driver, innova vvti manual dala namin. Sanay naman kami sa long drive.

We already did a manila to highest point then deretso sa mt. Data on a single trip. Halos 7hrs byahe yon mostly twisites.

Makinis ang kalsada papunta pagudpud. Medyo may mga occasional road repairs lang pero less than a km lang. Kayang kaya ng innova yan. Sedan nga gamit ko ok na ok eh.

we just stayed there jan 1-2 and jan 4-5. nlex-sctex-tplex then pag lagpas sa rosario don't turn right to tuba, turn left to agoo kasi mas malayo yun sa tuba. then watch out for signs for the agoo by-pass road which is shorter and no traffic. after nun diretso na lang all the way to vigan.

no road construction before vigan. after vigan meron na ongoing road widening pero konti lang naman.
just in case you like to cook your pinakbet in a clay pot, don't buy pots/vases/palayok in vigan kasi mas mahal (tourist price). there are road side stalls near la union (on the way back) that sell better quality clay pots at half the price.
bagnet and other pasalubong sa marcia's, on the right side of the road pag palabas ka na sa vigan. katabi ng hotel (forgot the name). mas mura sa kanila kesa sa shops in vigan proper.

marsha's? thought it was spelled marcia's. anyway, the pinakbet did tasted better cooked in a clay pot. the one we bought was glazed inside and out. or was it because of the bagnet, hehehe.

masarap ang sinanglao (ilocano version ng bulalo) kay senorita dulce. you may want to try it. yung stopover ng florida bus sa bantay, ilocos sur. magandang pangrejuvenate ng senses lalu na kung pagod na sa driving. hehe
