I got a 2012 series though. The tire boy seemed uneager to find newer ones for me and claimed all of their stocks are 2012.

Maxxis is ok as per my experience (MA-Z1 195/55/r15 and MA-P1185/65/R14) both used in my corolla. performance on wet and dry is at par with bridgestone Turanza GR series of the same size(185/65/R14). Road noise is a different story..maingay siya compared with turanza's. sa tread wear naman ok ung bridgestones na made in japan..yung mga thai made mabilis maupod.

Maingay sya compared with Turanzas, but how was it compared with goodyears? We're contemplating of having Maxxis Victra to replace my NCT5s on my Accent which are way too noisy to the borders of being annoying, regretfully annoying. Seriously. And since I use NLEX everyday to go to work. My Goodyear NCT 5 are the worst tire purchase I ever made.

Hi! I'm looking for the same tire size for my 2008 Sportage. The prices you quoted are a bit lower than what I got from certain shops here in the south (Muntinlupa area). Saang shops yung napag-canvassan mo?

    Thanks!

    Goodyear GT3 175/65 R15

2950 new price na daw ubos na yung old stock na nasa 2750.
    400 ( tinga + balance sa 4 tires)
less 1000php (4 tires trade in)
    free nitro.

all in all 11,200php GT3 at DKC.

Sa RoadStar Fort/Makati pwede, pero hindi "regular price" ang tires. Baka mga Goodyear Servitek pwede rin?

We have the same ride, Kia Sportage 2008 4x4 DSL. My oem tires were Hankook optimo K406 (235/60/R16 100H) which I would be changing tomorrow kasi pudpud na, at 66000 Kms. It has served me well. Very seldom did I get flat tires. If I remember right, only in the last 2 years. The only minor complaints perhaps would be the bumpy ride and the harder steering.
I did my research and these are the quoted prices I got:
Hankook Optimo K415 (ito daw pumalit sa K406) p6060 cash/card Tire depot at SM Las Pinas
Kumho Ecsta SPT KU31 p5700 cash at a big tire dealer at NAIA road before reaching SM Sucat (sorry, name escapes me)
Yokohama Geolander GO51 HTS p5950 cash/card at Yokohama Sucat
Yokohama Geolander GO51 HTS p6300 card p5990 cash at Yokohama Makati.
Quoted prices are inclusive of mounting and balancing, except the tinga, around p400 for a set of 4 tires.
I would be going to Yokohama Sucat tomorrow to have my tires changed.

Thanks, citydriver. Di pala standard ang pricing sa yokohama? Option ko pa naman din yun and the nearest one to me is Yokohama in Calamba.
And akala ko bawal na sa DTI ang pagtataas ng price if card ang gagamitin.

What made you choose the Geolander pala? Feedback sa initial performance hah, esp the road noise.

Thanks again, and congrats sa new shoes!

Re pricing of Yokohama dealers, nagtaka din ako...but then I found out na retailers lang sila, ginawa lang official dealers ng Yokohama. Yung dealer sa Sucat, Firstway Inc. ang pangalan while sa Makati, Dymans Inc. Yokohama Sucat does not carry other brands while Makati does. Re cash and card pricing, di na ko nakipag debate, sa Sucat ako kumuha kasi same price cash or charge.

Regarding the Geolandar G051 tires, mas maingay siya compared sa Hankook ko dati, pero sabi ng mga previous users, kapag bago lang daw. I travelled to La Union then to Baguio the day after I changed tires, I noticed the ride was more comfortable (di na siya matagtag) and the steering wheel was lighter. On the way back to Manila via SCTex and NLex, I was travelling at 120 kph, smooth pa rin ang ride. It rained too so I slowed down a bit....wala namang problema sa handling. What remains to be seen though is how long it will last....kasi yung Hankook ko lasted 66000 kilometers pero may thread pa, mababaw na nga lang that I wouldnt be comfortable with it for out of town trips. Hope my input helps

Low budget yet good quality tires
