First, mine is a 2012 model and they say the 2013's suspension is better.

Depends on the road. Syempre pag malubak medyo maingay, and engine noise is noticeable on hard driving. I am in fact contemplating noise deadening especially between the engine and passenger cab. On good roads (asphalt overlayed) there is hardly any noise. On potholed roads or where the asphalt is already patched up there could be substantial noise.

Ser Yebo, Dr. Kiko, I think its one of the most refined cars u could ever own.....maybe except if your used to LEXUS Cathedral quiet cars.....

mausok ang montero tci. mabagal din. hp and torque lamang na lamang ang sorento.
kung pang on-road lang naman ang gamit di mo need yang mataas na montero. mas maganda din suspension ng sorento, di matagtag at ganda handling, kahit tight curves kayang-kaya ng mabilis. ang montero di mo pwede bilisan sa tight curves kundi taob yan.
maluwag ang sorento at pinakamasikip naman ang montero.

Guys, share ko lang breakin adventure ng Sorento ko 2.2 A/T 2WD, last 2 weeks ago. Akyat Banawe-Bontoc (via SCTEX to Munoz), baba Cervantez-Tagudin, diretso Vigan/Laoag/Burgos/Pagudpud tapos balik Cavite. Comfortable and ride. Sa zigzag, altenate ako manual 3rd gear tsaka A/T average 40-60 kph walang kahirap hirap sa engine paakyat o pababa. Nag eengine brake manual 3rd gear. May nagovertake sa akin Fort , pero di din katagalan nadaanan ko naka park sa tabi ng daan, at binubuhusan ng driver ang front disk brakes nya. 32 psi pressure ng gulong ko, di naman gaano matagtag.

i was comparing with the 2009 santa fe. yun kasing santa fe ko dati pag maliit na hump diretso lang ako walang menor, may konting "whoop" sound lang pag daan sa hump. sa sorento iba, more like in between a "whoop" and a "thud". also firmer ang suspension ng sorento (compared to santa fe) so mas dama ko ang road imperfections. upside is it is better at cornering, kahit mabilis kaya tight corners (something i could not do with the santa fe). so it's a compromise actually, a little firmer ride but better handling (again, compared to the 2009 santa fe).

try mo dumaan sa puro tapal na kalsada at 80+ kph and you'll see what i mean.

Hi guys! Tanong ko lang kung may naencounter kayo problem with your disk brakes? cos mine has this deep scratch sa may driver side na disk brake. parang may sharp object sa brake and everytime na nagbrake ako naggrind siya kaya naging malalim. I have picture but dont know how to post it here para makita niyo..

My brakes are fine....but then before reaching 1T km I really took good care of it..mmso brakes would settle properly....

Bka may naipit na dumi/small stone? Bring it to CASA and have them inspected/cleaned.

I agree with Parakito. I have that issue (scratch lang with no issue in function or noise) but after a few thousand of kilometers that will disappear. If your issue was it was making noise and giving any vibration then definitely have that checked specially if it is still covered by warranty. If it really annoys you can ask them to replace, but honestly the scratch will disappear over time as the pads and disc will sit and set in properly.

Binasa nung Fortuner Disk rotors nya? Wow thats a good way of warping it. Dapat inantay nya na lang lumamig naturally.

Mga Chief! Any idea where I can get original Kia interior body panels? Nagagsgasan yung left rear portion ng unit ko, near the wheel well. Daming scratches ewan ko ano nakadali eh di naman ako naglalagay ng heavy or sharp items sa likod. Baka isa sa mga drivers namin nakagasgas.

Any recommended fix?

No noise naman and brakes stops the car just fine, Napansin ko lang na may scratch na medyo malalim sa disk. You can feel when you run your finger across. But yea I'll have it check sa casa next week.
