same here, no abnormal brake sounds and no brake dust either. your sorentos may be equipped (from the factory) with a different type of brake pads. baka yung batch ng sorento nyo e yung brake pads are same as the brake pads of the grand starex, may maganit na sound on release and also lots of brake dust. tapos nung napalitan ko na yung brake pads nawala na yung sound at nawala na din ang brake dust.

Airbags deploy when the airbag module tells it to deploy. Walang switch sa bumper na tatamaan for them to deploy. May accelerometer in the airbag module (usually nakatago sa may handbrake lever) that measures impact forces. So in your case baka the impact was not bad enough to cause the airbags to deploy.

Sir tama si sir parakito.. ang point ko kase sir dapat nagdeploy yung airbags nya lalo na mabilis ang takbo ko.. humampas pa nga tuhod ko sa dashboard kahit nakaatras na yung seat ko kase 6'1" ako e.. palet buong unahan ko sa damage sir.. tapos wala pa reng airbags.. e kung ndi ako alisto sir wasak ang mukha ko..
Hindi daw tinamaan yung dalawang sensor. Ewan ko san ba nakalagay yun.. baka sa likod ng makina..

AFAIK, it should deploy on impact I think minimum 30-40kph maintained impact speed. It could have probably deployed if my impact was of equivalent force. But I think, I was not able to reach that speed as I rapidly decelerated prior to the crash point.

However, I understand the concern kasi parang nawala peace of mind natin nung di nag activate yung airbag as an additional safety measure. Although sa akin bumper lang sira and fog lights. No other metal unit even Aircon or radiator was damaged. If your front was really totaled it should have deployed.

I already saw an X5 and Mitsu VR on the road with deployed airbags, their front were worse kasi no more radiator.

Siguro nga iba yung factory brake pads ng 2011 sorento. Yung brakepads na ng facelift ang gamit ko ngayon kaya tahimik and no brake dust ang brakes ko..

sir yung saken bumaluktot yung chassis front right sa impact at umatras yung front left fender sa pinto and tumupi ang hood kaya nagtataka ko baket hindi nagdeploy airbags.. yung salamin ng bintana nung natamaan ko humagis sa windshield ko at napunta sa ilalim ng wiper sir.. hindi mabagal ang takbo ko nun.. atleast 80kph siguro yun kase galing ako ng mga 120kph at napa brakes ng makitang may tanga na tumawid ng intersection habang go ako..tuhod ko sir namaga sa pasa dahil tumama sa dashboard...

It really looks like me speed limiter..there's still a lot room for the rpm sa redline. Impressive 3300rpm *190kph. Bdway anong unit ba nun 7.2 was it L/km?
