im in the market of getting a sorento soon. can you share the ave gas consumption of the LX variant for both GAS and DIESEL engine please?

also, in terms of specifications is there a significant difference between gas and diesel variant aside from the engine? as per the spec sheet there's minimal difference. please advise

2.2 crdi lx manual transmission. with daily travel of 60 kms with super heavy traffic in cp garcia c5 and airport area daily. first calculation on fill up is 10.44 kilometers per liter while trip computer says 8.3 li/ 100 kilometers, 2nd calculation 9.0909 kpl while trip computer says 10li/100 kilometers, 3rd calculation (as of yesterday) is 10.22 kpl while trip computer says 9li/100kilometers. first time diesel driver po ako at unioil po diesel nya. cant share about the gas variant's FC. hehe.

mga sirs, is it true that the kia will jack up the sorento's price by september? i just heard rumors about it.

Diesel lx 5 seater variant:
worst, heavy traffic 6km/l
average city 7.5 km/l, can go up to 9km/l if i discipline my right foot.
average hiway at 145+kph 11.5km/l
worst hiway at 170+kph 9km/l
Absolute worst as per trip computer 16.3l/100km or 6.1km/l at 200kph
best hiway at 100-120kph 15+km/l

As per the SA I talked to, may increase nga daw 15k effective sept 1. She was offering 15k discount so parang wala din price increase if ever. Also sabi nya gas can do 10kms/li while diesel 12kms/li daw. I think it was BS kaya im hoping you guys can share your own.

Real world fuel consumption would be half of that. pag laging stuck sa manila traffic nasa 6.5-7km/liter ang diesel matic. Yung gas would probably go for 5km/l. achieveable naman yung 10km/l for gas and 12km/l diesel pag more on highway driving.

Just got our Sorento LX last Aug, and was thinking on where to get Fog Lamps, Side Mirror (with lights), Readio (with rear cam and possibly steering wheel controls)... and possibly how much would the damage be..

is there a one stop shop for all this.. without breaking the bank and going to the casa ?

FC for AWD diesel sorento is around 7km - 8km/l City driving. As long as you don't get stuck in not moving traffic for an hour.
If traffic slows down to a crawl every time you go out, its around 6km/l - 7km/l.

For highway, 12.6 km/l is doable. More if tipid ka mag drive.

This is AWD ha. FWD would be more fuel efficient.

For Gas Sorento. Its the same engine as the Sonata or Optima.
Would be around 5km/l if stuck in crawling traffic.
7km/l city driving
10km/l highway.

Walang led sa ilalim.. Nabili ko din kay gcas kaso kailangan mo muna pa body color..
