    Baka wala naman sensor kaya hindi tinamaan.. Hehehe Pinakita ba sayo kung saan nakalagay yung sensor?

    Airbags deploy when the airbag module tells it to deploy. Walang switch sa bumper na tatamaan for them to deploy. May accelerometer in the airbag module (usually nakatago sa may handbrake lever) that measures impact forces. So in your case baka the impact was not bad enough to cause the airbags to deploy.

    Sirs, just got my sorento 5 seater A/D last April. So far so good, very impressive ang power and ride comfort, meron lang akong na observed medyo may irritating sound during release ng brake coming from full brake stop,, i noted this also during my test drive before. Is this normal for Kia cars? What is causing this sound upon brake release?...by the way, thanks for this thread, it helped me to discern in buying sorento, nice car!

    Yan din reklamo ko dati sa sorento pero that's normal. Kahit hyundai tucson at santa fe ganyan din ang brakes. Last month nagpalit ako ng OEM brake pads from korea, nawala yung sound upon brake release and full brake stop. One more thing, minimal na lang brake dust ko ngayon di tulad ng stock brake pads mabilis magdumi sa mags.

    Wala akong naririnig na abnormal sa brakes....hhhhm and alam ko medyo O.C ako sa ganyan....

    *JohnM, (I think) the point THREE5 was trying to make is Kia 's design threshold of what should have been a Airbag deploy seems abnormally high to the point of being wrong given d heavy damage and some structural deformation caused by the accident....
