Sold my 2001 Kia Carnival LS and bought a 1999 Civic SIR................... after a year sell my civic SIR and bought last sunday 2002 Kia Carnival Sedona RS(bought from owner itself 1st owned casa maintained with all the receipts since bought from CASA) all stock pati stereo with tape deck no CD.. ........ mas maganda interior nyan sedona... hindi gaya ng carnival... pati engine yata nyan mas improved compared dun sa dati na J3...

Try mo sa Fronte sa may banawe #7120864,7120919 or Goodgear 833 83 82, 834 0954 at Pasay in between libertad LRT and EDSA LRT station.
if you're naman bandang south try mo J-BRO AUTO SUPPLY 800 - 5657* ,* 579 - 1136 - ang alam ko dito pwede mag order sa kanila if they don't have stocks, just wait 3 to 4 weeks on delivery because the parts will be ordered in Korea...

I suggest you have it diagnosed at Fronte in Banawe. Look for Boy Cruz. They specialize in automatic tranny. Hadmine checked before, the gadget they used will precisely tell you what's wrong with your vehicle. With your description, it could be the throttle position sensor (TPS) or transmission solenoid failing you.

Hope this helps.

Simple problem lang yan , you just need to change the Themso sensor or temperature sensor located near the radiator cap. ganyan din naging problema sakin. Already adjusted TPS, changed ATF, diagnosed to KIA PAsay CASA but still nothing changed. I just found out na sira na pala thermo sensor ko, Bumili ko sa Goodgear pasay for only P300. After changing nawala na yung problema.
Fyi, The thermal sensor tells the computer wheather the engine is warm or not by changing the temperature to a varied electrical value. The computer will increase rpms if it thinks the engine is cold to keep it operating smoother until it receives input from the sensor, Also the sensor told the transmission (thru the comp. box) when to shift properly

sir i just Have my fan belt replaced and also the alternator oil hose repaired, changed brake pads and replaced front stabilizer link then i encountered this.... with my kia sedona 2001 a/t hirap umarangkada, then ang tagal mag shift may time pa umabot ng 3.5 ang rpm.... pero pag binitawan ko ang accelerator pedal nag shift pataas, then pag step on the gas pedal ulit ako nag dodown shift ulit... kaya mataas rpm before mag shift ulit.... para bang patarik ang tinatakbo ko samantalang patag naman po yun..... ano po kaya ang problema?

Ganyan din naging problema sa akin dati, ang tagal mag shift ng 4th gear or overdrive, already replaced TPS wala pa rin nangyari. Ngayon pala thermo or temperature sensor lang ang sira located near the radiator cap. nabili ko lang ng P300 and labor for only P150, problem solved back to normal. Heto yung di alam ng mga mekaniko kahit sa Kia Casa hindi rin alam na nakaka affect pala sa pag change ng gear pag sira na ang thermo sensor ng Carnival natin.

Baka pwede pa yan ma-adjust. Ang mga starex owners ginagawa nila ito. Kung may kilala kang may carnival baka pwede hiramin muna ang TPS nya just to test your unit kung sira nga ba talaga.

sa casa 4K lang daw ang bago ng tps... hanap nalang muna ako ng surplus.... pero try ko muna temp. sensor

sir weisshorn sinubukan na po adjust sa fronte ganun pa din... ang nangyari po kasi nagpalit ako ng exhaust manifold gasket nung napalitan nag umpisa nang mag loko yung tranny yung tps po located daw sa may or near exhaust manifold....

Guys tanong lang po regarding sa glowplug ng kia carnival.san po ba sya nakapwesto?parang di kac gumagana yung heater nya,ayaw masunog ng diesel,ayaw tuloy mag start.

direct injection na yan J3 engine... wala na yan glow plug... ang meron yan is heater mesh located in the intake manifold... ang purpose nyan is to warm the air entering the intake during cold start

Good day, just recently replaced 2 cooling coil, 2 expansion valve, drier, + cleaning and freon and it cost me around 20K for my 2003 Carnival Sedona..... ganun ba ka-mahal ung parts niya? sa Autocool, Fairview me nagpaggawa..... ung cooling coil ko kasi is coated(di ko maalala tawag dun) kaya ganun na lang presyo pati sa expansion valve.. halos doble presyo dun sa dati kong 2001 kia carnival..... ang sabi ni autocool, magkaiba daw sila ng parts......ewan.... di na din kasi ako nag-papagawa ng aircon sa Frigid Zone nagkaroon kasi me history with the shop, puro palit di na-solve ung issue...... Question ko lang, tama bi si autocool na magkaiba sila ng parts and price?....thanks

Hi guys good day. May binibentang second hand Carnival 2006 diesel MT na pinag aaralan ko pa. The cost is 480K with mileage 108K km. I think the price is justified considering the age and mileage of the vehicle. Pero ask ko na rin sa inyo kung ano sa tingin nyo ang presyo. I plan to have the unit visually checked and test drived para malaman ang overall condition ng sasakyan. To those having this unit what or how is the FC performance? Will appreciate your assistance to my query.

hi guys, it's been a long tiime. anyone know were i can have the turbo of our 2001 sedona checked. problem is that engine doesn't have enough power to drive up the parking ramps (a/t tranny). fronte said the tranny is fine.... malabon diesel said that the injection pump is ok. thanks

Hi Mintoy,

I had the same problem before. better to check your injection nozzles baka mga barado na, palinis mo or kung dina talaga pu pwede you can replace them kahit surplus lang because buying a new one will cost you around 9K per piece. Mine kasi surplus lang pinalit ko for only 2K per pc at Saluna auto shop at banawe. Lumakas na ulit hatak nya.

As a last resort. I brought our sedona to Kia Tramo. When i got there, the chief mechanic detached the vacum hose on the egr. We tested it and black smoke was gone. He said that the egr is defective already. if iI wanted, they could replace it but after a minute of further discussion. He confirmed that nothing wrong will happen to the engine if it's left as is.

Driver used it yesterday to Cavite and said that he noticed that the engine was more resposive. Hopefully it will pass the smoke emmission tom :-)
