You don't have to wait for it to extinguish. Sa diesel cars lang yung inaantay mo yung yellow 'glow plug' icon na mawala before starting.

On the Picanto, insert key and start. The Check Engine will extinguish by itself once the engine has finished doing its self check.

Even on the Honda, you don't have to wait for the light to extinguish. Just put the key in and start the car.

You only wait for the yellow icon to shut off on diesel cars. And its the glow plug icon, not the check engine light.

I'm always amazed how the Picanto looks here. So wanted to share one of those photos I took the other day.
By the way I don't own a Picanto back in Manila , now am thinking to have 1.

Baka matulungan niyo ako, I am eyeing a 2nd hand picanto 2007 model. Ok lahat, makinis, walang kalampag..

The only problem is.. upon inserting the key and turning it "on".. hindi nawawala yung "check engine" light. Di ba dapat mawawala muna yun before turning to ignition?

The seller informs me na mwawala siya once na nag-start na yung kotse. which nawala naman talaga.

I am coming from a honda, and ganun siya, I wait for the check engine light na mawala before ignition.

Is this normal?

Pa-update mo computer ng auto mo sa dealer....baka yan lang ang kailangan.

normal lang yan. different cars are not made the same manner.

its the check engine light. it lights up when you turn the ignition key and then turns off after a while. its a way to check if the bulb on the pane is still ok. you can start the engine even when its on then it will turn off after a few seconds. not like for the mitsus and honda that its advised to wait for that cel to turn off before starting the engine.

Guys saan ba nakakabili ng tire ng picanto except casa ang mahal kasi sa casa?

Tire size is 165/60/R14 but the available size has always been 165/65/R14. Does this tire fit our pica it seems quite bigger it might affect the stance and speedometer and odo? Does it fit the front wheel well especially when turning?

Hi Picanto owners. Newbie here.

Question lang mga bossing. I want to buy a 2nd hand Kia Picanto (any 2004 to 2007 model), budget is 270k. Kaso pinipigilan ako ng mga pinsan ko kasi daw mahal ang parts and maintenance daw, in case may masira. How true?

Mag Toyota Corolla na 2000 (or up) model na lang daw, kaysa sa mas bago na Picanto. Just want to see comments from the actual owners sana. Salamat sa mag rereply. ;)

sagada i survived our picanto can make it to sagada definitely! rough road yes more or less 8km of rough road ito na yun paakyat ng sagada. rough road of sagada is like any other rough road here in PH both route maganda baguio or banaue route. mas zigzag lang sa baguio-sagada route or i say worst zigzag road i ever passed pero ang ganda ng kalsada! daming kotse dun paakyat namin meron kami kasabay a civic 00-03 model i think lady driver sa town merun ako nakita sentra 90's model and a swift.

Anybody replaced their tie rod end? rapide quote me for 6k for both tie rod end and rack end. medyo gumagalaw daw yun sa left side na tie rod ko.
