Ride: Kia carens LX-MT entry level
Year: 2007
Displacement: 2.0
Engine Configuration: SOHC CRDI-VGT
Fuel Consumption:
-City: 9-10 Km/L (depende sa tapak)

The most efficient FC was 14.5 Km/L on a traffic free ride from Las Pinas-Bataan (Morong) -Las Pinas. Took me only 1hr 30mins one way via Coastal, Edsa, NLEX, SCTEX, Roman Highway.

update:
proj.6 -> cabanatuan (magsaysay sur) via nlex sta.rita exit, travel starts 930pm - 1230am, 107kms. fueled at petron mindano ave, 500 * 45.9/l--10.89L (20% tank full). trying to maintain engine speed from 1500-2000 rpm, 60-90kph with occassional overtaking. consumed half of the fuel--around 5.5L... rough estimated FC: 19km/l or 5.26L/100kms.
pauwi-- cabanatuan->proj.6 via sta rita exit, from 9pm-1230am, 106kms, fueled at shell cabanatuan (fuel save).30mins stuck in traffic at bocaue toll gate with total idling time of atleast 1 hour ( stop overs+ traffic). same conditions, but rainy.. consumed
roughly the same.
so i can conclude na fuel save ng shell wala masyadong difference sa consumo.. magaspang lang takbo ng makina.
best so far: 18-19km/l

March 18th, 2012 10:44 AM #84Guys, query lang po, got a 2nd hand Kia Carens last Friday lang, got it when the fuel tank is nearly empty na (may yellow light na). Went to a nearest Petron station to fill up mga 1.5K worth of fuel, halos 30 liters yun. Fuel gauge reading after filling up is nearly 3/4, siguro mga isang guhit nalang papalo na ng 3/4 yun. Drove around the city and I noticed that after 90+ kms, malapit na sa 1/4 yung fuel tank ko. Anyone who has experience same as mine? When i read the forums kasi I saw that a lot of our Kia Carens owners very happy with their FCs, wala lang, napansin ko lang kasi parang ang bilis bumaba ng fuel gauge ng car. Papafull tank ako ngayon to test the actual FC ng car ko...
My car:
2009 Kia Carens
22K mileage
Last service check up (per CASA records) was 5/23/11 * 20K, they changed all filters like the air, and fuel filters.
