    * 4.2li/100km *Constant 90kph for abt 30sec...



    All in all laki talaga effect ng driving style... Lalo na fast acceleration n idling.

    Naka 2000kms na odo ko and have been observibg how the computerized fc compares with actual manual fc. Inaccurate yung in dash na fc.

    City driving is arnd 7-8km /l. Pure hiway is arnd 12-13km/l. So a mixed city and hiway should be aroubd 10-11km/l

    Just arrived in Province for vacation... Eto is purely Car Electronic calculation.

    Distance (trip A): 400++km
    Result: 7.8li/100km
    Road condition:
    *first 50km. Heavy NCR Traffic
    *Abt 1hr idling due to gridlock accident in Tiaong Quezon
    * The rest mixed of good/bad provincial roads...

    last Jan3 PM, tried pure city driving....

    * starting point : Unioil * Buendia Ave Makati.... (yup after loading her w/ Euro 4 diesel) on Taft Ave,
    - bought something at Sta Cruz, Binondo....
    - via Aurora Blvd...
    * end point : Cubao Alimall.

    Average consumption : 15li / 100 km....
    Distance driven : around 33km.++

    QC-nlex-sctex-magilas to Ramos-moncada-carmen-villasis-urdaneta-MANAOAG-urdaneta-villasis-carmen-moncada-paniqui-gerona (lunch at isdaan)-tarlac-sctex-nlex-QC

    8.3L/100KM (12km/L) hataw mode. 140kph sa nlex, 160 kph sa sctex (may misis kasi nakasakay sa likod, speed limiter!), 100-140kph sa magilas, 100-120kph sa macarthur when traffic permits, pag matraffic e ano pa ba as fast as the tricycle will go. 3 adults and 4 kids plus 2 kaing na mangga on the way back.

    dami nahuli sa SCTEX pag labas namin sa tarlac. hehe, di nila nakita yung may radar gun sa concepcion. malayo pa lang nakita ko na yung pickup sa flyover na kunwari sira nakataas yung hood, pero dun sa passenger side may guy na may radar gun.

    na-compare ko na FC sa manual method, di naman nagkakalayo pag long drive. ang malaki ang difference pag city diving kasi syempre average FC, e zero siya pag naka-stop e umaaandar naman ang engine. saka pag traffic taas ng FC nasa 15-20L/100km tapos pag libre na traffic biglang baba ng 5-8L/100km so yung lalabas na average e malayo sa actual.

    5 seater lang sir. ako saka 2 kids sa harap, si misis, yaya and 2 kids sa likod. reklamo sila hahaha, lalo na inflate ko tyre pressure to 38 psi front/40 psi rear e di matagtag. di na daw sila sasama next time na sorento ang gamitin ko for long drive. reklamo ni misis e leg room sa likod, sanay kasi sa starex.

    napansin ko din nga yun pag idling....zero reading nya even while engine is running. pero if really that's how Kia calculates consumption by not considering idling time then that's flawed...pero sa tingin ko kasama sya....

    wow taas nang tire pressure nyo ser, ako nga 35psi going to the province eh natatalbugan na 'ko....so binalik ko na lang talaga sya sa 33psi....well firm pa din ang ride....

    Just to update my Fuel Consumption.
    2013 Sorento LX. ODO * 2600km.
    So its not fully broken in.
    *starting pt.departed 4am: Unioil Mindanao ave to load fuel and RESET Tripmeter B.
    *Destination : Banaue Ifugao rice terraces.
    * End. Pt (daytime driving: Unioil Buendia. Arrvd 11PM.
    * Driving condition: slow provincial roads and i do overtake most of the time. Meaning hataw mode.
    * Distance : 677km (yeah in 1tank of diesel).
    * FC by trip computer : 7.5li/100km or 13.8kpl.

    This is the strange part.... after dividing TripMeter-B distance w/ 57li loaded up at Buendia... it results in 11.8kpl (677km/57li)....

    so why such a big descrepancy?
    Anyway even with the lower figure i think its still pretty good for an SUV!.

    ang pinaka accurate ko na computer reading is on my ford focus diesel. as-in sakto lagi sa manual computation.

    just want to share with all the benefits and demerits of upsizing wheel/tire combo...
    almost scientific evaluation method done by CarandDriver excellent read and this should
    apply to all brand/makes....
